I know this is a cheat but if you leave Steam cloud sync on you can get around this. So you enchant, your item gets wiped, disconnect your internet. Then you hold down ctrl+shift+esc, find the torchlight process, right click on it and then click "end process", alternately click on it and then press alt+e.Mooghens said:Torchlight 1
Legendary item
Awesome stats, perfect for class, massive upgrade compared to current item in slot
Go to enchanter to enchant
1% chance of disenchantment (removal of all effects)
Go figure.
That will close Torchlight and it won't be able to sync. Then reconnect your internet, and launch Torchlight. Then it will prompt you that there is a mismatch between your cloud sync and local files. Choose to use the cloud sync files.
One piece of advice, quit the game normally right before you enchant then launch it again, as that way if you get a wipe and have to do this you don't lose any progress.
I guess I'll give a moment. For a period of several years I pretty much stopped playing games. This was about 2002 through 2006. When I went back to gaming I started going through games I had missed. One of those games was called Morrowind. As I walked through it dawned on me that anything I saw in the distance I could reach if I kept walking towards it. It was really amazing to me at the time, as I had never played a game like this before.
