Awesome Combo?

Well, I'm thinking of grabbing some MS Points later to buy Psychonauts and Ikaruga on XBL. Are these games as good as is said about them or are they just overhyped. I understand Ikaruga's insane difficulty level but I still want it anyway.

Any opinion is appreciated so no flaming please.

I'm reasonably confident that you won't regret getting Psychonauts. It's completely bonkers, but the game doesn't suffer for it. In fact, it was possibly the most fun I had before I played Portal.

Unfortunately, I can't offer an opinion on Ikaruga. I've heard good things about it though.

Psychonauts does have "some" gameplay issues, but the story and interactions are completely ridiculous and hilarious, definitely worth 10 bucks, Ikaruga... is hard as balls. Old fashioned top down flight shooter game... on supercrack. >.>

Playing Psychonauts was an unforgettable experience for me; it's a great game and you should definitely buy it. I do have Ikargua on XBLA as well, and let me give you some personal advice; unless you're REALLY good at shooters, DON'T buy the game. It's INSANELY difficult; I can't get past the second level!

Either way, enjoy your games. I'm waiting for Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Worms 2

Both good games if you're okay playing older games like those. Only say that because some people aren't. I'm one of them.
