Awesome Date?

Okay so im looking to take a very special girl on a date pretty soonish on a low budget. All I've got to go on is "take me somewhere awesome" :S

I was just wondering what The Escapist thought of as a awesome date, serious and hilarious suggestions welcome

Well if she wants something awesome then you are better off asking her than us. Mainly because what she defines as awesome is probably significantly different from a diverse group of strangers from varying countries and cultures.

Take her skydiving. Who cares if you can't arrange it, just find a really tall hill to jump off and bring umbrellas instead of parachutes. Its going to be awesome whether you survive or not.

And we don't have much to go on either. How can you expect us to recommend a date when we have 0 info about her? She might be into paintballing (though that ain't low-budget) or maybe she's nuts about astronomy (stargazing is cheap).

I'm a very cool person. I take tours of historical churches and sites, museums and art gallary galleries.

Fixed that for you. More people need to appreciate culture.

Depending on her interests you could maybe take her somewhere where live bands play? Not a good idea though if you dont know much about her music taste. Picnic in the park is nice but not really "awesome". But hell if shes THAT ungrateful kick that ***** to the curb.

Serious: If you can swing a movie, then do that. And let HER pick the movie. If a movie is too much, then try taking her to a party... I've never tried the party option, as I don't want to see the outcome of a party based first date, but you could be the guinea pig!

Hilarious: Take her to a strip club, and hand her a skimpy costume and some ones. Also be sure to say "Show me a good time, baby."

I'm gonna give you my trusted date-plan. Used to work well when I was on the market. It went like this:
I used to take girls up to the roof of the tallest building around here, it's not "that" tall, only 17 floors, but anyways, it was a nice get-away. They rarely changed the lock on their security door, and it was easy to pick open, so I had it all prepared before the night. Then I'd take a blanket(trusty old spots), a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses. Then I'd take her up there and we'd sit/lie there looking at the night sky(or if she felt adventurous, looking over the edge down to the people) and talk. I'd try to impress her with my very rudimentary knowledge of stellar bodies. Sooner or later, a cold wind would start to blow our bodies closer... Well, after that is all up to you.

So that's it, do something semi-adventurous, nothing major. But do something that will leave a mark at least. Personally I'd never recommend the movies or things like that, it's not that special. Plus, movies, come on? That's just a reason NOT to talk to each other. You have to do something that actually involves getting to know the girl! Something personal for you and something new for her.
