Have you ever gotten a great deal on something? As in, something valuable or rare you picked up for relatively very little?

Anyone remember the movie Slapshot? Anyone? No? Anyone at all? No? Moviebob? Bob Chipman, do you remember the movie Slapshot with Paul Newman?

OK, Moviebob remembers. Anyway, this was a pretty good old movie about a hockey team. Anyway, there's these triplets in the movie that are insane and always starting fights. And in some old junk store, I see a set of McFarlane action figures of the Hanson triplets from Slapshot for three bucks each.

Now, I don't collect action figures, and I hate spending money, but I thought this had to be the most obscure set of action figures I had ever seen. I mean, what an esoteric reference, right? Why did they even make action figures for this movie?

So I buy these three action figures for a total of nine bucks. I checked Amazon a few days later, and the set sells for $150+. Awesome.

I got a good deal on a pair of pants. They were already marked down to 14.75 bucks, and then there was a 70% off clearance sale. Then, when I went to buy them, the scan-tag thing had been removed so they went and found the first pair of similarly-priced pants to scan, which happened to be cheaper than the pants I was buying. In all, the pants I bought cost me ten minutes and 4.50$.

I got Madworld for ?7. Good deal if you ask me. I am considering looking for a bargain SNES that is in full working order with some of the best games. I was a Megadrive man myself but I played SNES all the time in my friends house. Must search eBay now actually..

I got a full rockband 2 kit (guitar, drums, mic, game) for $19 during black Friday. No rebates or anything.
It was a price mistake, it was supposed to be $119, the place tried to go back on the price but I brought up the delicious law called bait and switch which forces most places to honor those kinds of deals.

When I was in high school, I bought a graphing calculator link cable for $10. It came with a $15 manufacturer's rebate. I've never heard of anyone buying something for negative money before.
