So, recently I was doing my usual thing, popping messages across the forums (usually the Publisher's Club forums, hence not seeing me much here...), when suddenly this rather sweet error message came along:
"We're sorry but the current forum traffic is overloading the thread display hamsters. Your posts and votes will still be recorded, but may not be immediately visible. Please do not spam the thread in an effort to view it, it will only make things slower. In the meantime, consider the walrus.
Did you know we have an IRC Channel? Did you know an IRC Channel is a place where you can complain about the forums being down to each other in real time? It's like space but with less stars and more @ signs. And less space. So check it out, it'll be pretty neat: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/chat/"
I thought it was rather nice of The Escapist to make such a personalised error message XD
So, has anyone else had an experience like this, where you're disappointments with an error have been cushioned by awesome wording?
