Awesome game trailers

I have always been a fan of trailers. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad ones out there. When looking at movie trailers, some of the bad ones are more of a recap of the movie than an actual trailer. And then there are loads of generic ones; doing the job, yes. But they don't stand out.

Now, making trailers for a game seems a bit more tricky, because you want to show off the gameplay but you don't have a lot of time for it. And sometimes you also wanna show a bit of the story. So you have to pick out the highlights. What I often see are a collection of trailers for a game split into different sections, e.g. a CGI trailer, a combat trailer, an exploration trailer. I rarely see a game trailer that has it all; an epic trailer; a trailer that stands above the rest. One trailer to define the game.

I ask you: which game trailers did impress you? Show us the best of the best.

This one, I love it. All the Halo one's are pretty good but this one, this is pretty shiney. Nothing to do with the gameplay like, but still love it.

Dead Island sure made an upheaval, yeah. Though I am not sure if that had to do with the trailer being "backwards" or just purely the gruesome content. Or maybe a little of both.

5 reasons to love this trailer...
1) It is one of the best looking Game Trailers I have ever seen.
2) Bearing in mind point 1), it's done using 100% gameplay footage, so you know that the game itself is going to look that good.
3) It has Martin (the fucking man) Sheen narrating it.
4) It's about Mass Effect 2.
5) That. Soundtrack. Seriously I don't even know the real name of that music piece but I do know that every time I hear it it turns everything around it into pure, undiluted awesome.

The fact that's it's not actual gameplay footage means it loses some points compared to the first one but Holy Christmas does it still look cool.

Other than that Bungie's stuff with Halo is always cool, but as a few people have already got to that one first there's really no need for me to elaborate further.

Armored Core's trailers have always given me chills. Sadly the new Armored Core 5 trailer seems kind of lackluster.

Also the Halo one's are good, but this was, i feel is very underlooked.
