Today, we have consoles that you don't even need to get up from your chair and push the power button to play. Whats the next step in gamer convenience, a game changer!! Like a CD changer, but with games. No longer would you have to get up every time you want to play a new game. Just sit back, and keep eating Cheetos.

So, would this be the next step in gamer convenience, or gamer laziness.

It could be the next step in convenience, yes. But it could make you lazy as well.
For anyone who watched Gamer, remember that fat kid...
You could turn out like him.

Nintendo already tried something like this...it was called ROB...it didn't work too well...

Personally, I think the next step in Gamer Laziness is already happening; Digital Distribution. Gamers wouldn't even have to move if consoles started depending entirely on DLC.

If you're persuasive enough, they already have those. They're called girlfriends.

Or boyfriends, I suppose. I'm not sexist.

Anyway, I think the changer is already around too - it's called a hard drive. Why, just yesterday I got tired of dealing with irritating brats on CoD4, so I went to my dashboard and switched to playing psychonauts without ever standing up.

If someone ever perfects VR to the point where it's like the Matrix or some other similar environment I suspect there will be a lot of people who don't do anything in the real world for a very long time.

Instead of a gaming chair, buy a massage chair...okay I know it has already been invented and is not technically a `gaming thing` but it would be pure pure awesome.

I am never having kids, instead I am having a huge screen TV, all my favourite consoles and games, and a massage chair. Ah, dreams dreams.

Something that pours an alcoholic beverage slowly into your mouth while you play so you do not have to pause the game, or even suck on a straw.
