Today I took a break from everything and sat on my bed without an iPod, book, computer, or anything because I was ridiculously bored. So I just thought and contemplated anything or everything. Though, the first thought that popped into my head was; What was my most embarrassing and/or awkward situation I've encountered through the past year?

And quite frankly, I couldn't think of one single occurrence.

I sat and I sat and I couldn't think of one bloody moment where I had run into something awkward or morbidly embarrassing. I know I have and we all have, but I just can't recall any.

So, Escapists, maybe you can recall some of your awkward moments and share them with those who can?t remember. No worries, we won?t judge you. We?re all a loving community, right? ... Right. Share a few laughs, shead a few tears, connect with fellow embarrassed Escapists and just let loose for a little bit.

Have fun!

Maybe your brain blocked the thoughts out :p

Anyway, for me it'd probably be when I was about 6 or 7 and I was having my haircut at a hairdresser (barber?) and he said loudly when he started "I cannot cut this, you have lice."
Pretty embarrassing day for me ><

Oh dear, that's terrible! I hope the place wasn't too crowded.

And yeah, you're probably right about blocking it out. Pffft.

Finding out the girl I had secretly been in love with for six years was actually a complete and total banshee after my best friend, who knew how I felt about her, dated her behind my back for about five days before she broke up with him and told everyone that they were never in a relationship and that she never even liked him, and that he made the whole thing up. That's led to many an awkward moment since.

Edit: Heh, looks like I officially killed the thread. Was that less awkward and more on the depressing side? The two tend to run together for me, you see.

I hope not. Oh well if you did. But nah, that really sucks for you. I think it kind of leads from depressing into awkward, but most of the times, the two mostly mesh together in the end.

I have a ton that I can't think of at the moment. I don't know if that's good or not...

I walked into a pole once. My friend laughed a lot. She said it was so funny because I never did anything "not graceful." That's all that I remember.

Probably grade 7 when my Trichotillomania fully kicked in. After the Christmas holidays, when I really started going at it, I had a bald strip on my head that basically made me look like some guy took a razor and put one random bald patch on my head.

Spent the next two months or so telling people I don't have cancer and trying to keep my "condition" a secret from everyone and passed it off as a "shaving accident".

Today I told a girl I know that I liked her, and she told said Oh really, I just emailed my cousin (my best friend) and told him that. She was okay with it, but I felt really embarassed.
