My first High Dragon in Dragon Age. I was like "Oh Shit. This is gonna be hard."

And it was.

I've got some "oh...shit"-moments myself:

In Half-Life 2, in the start, when you meet the first zombies and one of them pops up from a radioactive pond, I just thought "What the hell is THAT?" Because it was the first time I've ever played a Half-Life-game.

Another time in Half-Life 2: When you encounter the first "carrier"-zombie in the game, I went; "oooh, shit, I HATE poison headcrabs, and he's got like 30 of them on him!"

Half-Life 2: One word: Ravenholm.

Half-Life 2: Episode 1: When you're in a room and an Advisor pops up and sort of uses mindwaves, it's freaking unexpected the first time!

Half-Life 2: Episode 1: The Elevator Battle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMK0HtKUHCQ for those who don't know). I just hate it, although it is an epic battle.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2: The ambush, epic battle, but an "oh shi.."-moment, also the last battle, when there's like 4 striders approaching the rocket, epic battle. COnclusion: The HL2 games are full of epic battles.

God of War: In the start, I was playing for the first time on HARD, and when I've finally defeated the first Hydra-head, I encountered another one a minute later, I just though: "Oh fuck, not again?" And later, when I encountered the REALLY big Hydra-head, I went all o_O.

We've also got the part in the desert, singing Sirens, you just see them in the horizon through the thick sand, and suddenly, they're right behind you, and of course, you've got the volume at max to hear them better. I went "Oh shi#¤%!".

God of War: The part in Pandora's Temple, when you've reached the second circle or so, when there comes a BIG SPIKY concrete-tube rolling at you.

Call of Duty 4: When you're in Russia or something, and you see the nuclear rockets launch right in front of you, and everything goes into slow motion.

Also the part where the americans get hit by the nuclear bomb's shockwave and that man flies out.

I think that was all :)

When I found out that to sing against someone on Rockband onlne they can hear you/you can hear them. I still kicked ass but was a bit shocked to have an audience.

Why did this get necro'd?

Anyway, I was playing Jade Empire and about to fight a boss, when all of a sudden she split into THREE versions of herself AND I had to fight her giant bodyguard. Wow. Later on, sometimes the battles get as unfair as 8 on 2, or 6 on 1. Most styles can't hit more than one opponent for anything like decent damage.

Hanging on for dear life on the back of a gigantic flying creature, shaking violently trying to throw me off in Shadow of the Colossus.

When I accidentally ran into Emerald Weapon in Final Fantasy VII. Yeah... that sucked.

One time, when playing later in the campaign of Halo 2, I fought a pair of hunters. I killed one, but ran out of ammo trying to kill the second. Rather than trying to melee the armored monstrosity to death, I just decided to leave it behind and move on. It wouldn't follow me through three hallways and doors, would it? I then came into a room where Elites and Brutes were having a pretty intense battle. Cortana said it might be smart to sit this one out, and my empty weapons agreed, so I sat there and watched. Then I hear the door behind me whoosh open. I turn around to see that Hunter about to smash me. So, without ammo, I run into the middle of the fray, through the door on the other side, and into an open hallway. But the door over there is locked, so I'm here alone with the hunter again and no ammo. So I turn around, get past the thing, and run back into the room where there are still Brutes and Elites fighting. I head in, grab some weak weapon and clean up the place before killing that Hunter last. All to the awesome guitar riffs of Blow Me Away (Breaking Benjamin's guest song for Halo 2). It was freaking epic.

"All U.S. forces be advised, we have a confirmed nuclear threat in the capital! NEST teams are on site, attempting to disarm. I repeat...!"

Or the part in Pripyat where the helicopter comes down.
