A thought struck me as rode my bike down a slightly dim lit path surrounded by titanic trees each dropping small delicate pink petals to form a dancing rain. I thought to myself "What truly is beauty?" I hope to gain some outside opinions on this but if you don''t feel like going philosophical on us you could just state a situation or scene you'd describe as nothing but. (It'd help if you did both seeing as my girlfriend just dumped me and I need a pick-me-up.)

Now listen there buddy, i'm a gamer, that means i solve problems, not problems like "What is beauty" becuase that would fall into your cunondrum of philosiphy, no, i solve practicall problems, like, how am i going to show me opinion on current game's?

The answer? Use a forum.

OT: Beauty is when you see something that moves you deep deep inside, like that scenic overlook, that pretty girl/guy, or that 11 backstab kill streak.

Beauty is stuff. Stuff that is really, really, really, really, really, really, really pretty.

EDIT: Hey! #2,000. Would you look at that?

Really beauty cannot be defined, it can be different for each and every person

On the contrary, I like to answer philosophic questions rather than practical since I like the challenge of answering philosophical questions more.

OT, as someone said before, it's in the eye of the beholder. Beauty can be many different things for many different people. There is no one answer to the question of "What is true beauty?"

and it may, at times, become necessary to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.

OP: beauty is intangible and different for everyone. i, for instance, find 2D graphics to be beautiful in their simplicity and square edges.

Entirely this.

"Beauty" like art, are two of the most subjective things I can think of.

Thank you Engineer. Anyone else?
I hope you weren't referring to Sir Kemper. He's a scout.

OT: I can't tell you what beauty is, but I can tell you what love is.

Definition: "Love" is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope... Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds.

I was sniping on Bad Company 2 a few hours ago, I pretty much emptied my entire M24 (that is nearly all mags) into the heads of various very long distance targets, some sprinting downhill, some very well hidden.

I even killed 2 people with 1 bullet, both with 100+ marksman headshots. At the end of the game (we won) I was the top player of a full 24 game with almost twice as many points as the number 2.

That was pure beauty.

one: welcome to the escapist beer hall, where everyone get's drunk and laughs away their sorrows!

two:I can't say. I find the city to be beautiful, it's just a big machine, day, in day out. the same things, and the same lights.

Beauty is... weird. It affects us in some weird way that we can't explain, because it's different for all of us.

I guess beauty is something that can affect a person's mind beyond the here and now, and make them think deeper...

But then again, I could be completely BSing...

Honour to the new guy. I was going to say this as well.

And I don't know if anyone has done this, but here goes anyway.

Nice job. The race is on, will you get to 3k before I get to 2k? What's that? The sound of no-one caring about me getting to 2k? Damnit, I was hoping to have some supporters...

OT: I'd post something sciencey but I haven't had school in almost a week and the smart part of my brain killed itself.

A week?! I haven't been to school in about a decade. And it was alcohol that killed the smart part of my brain.

Just wait, once you get out of school, you'll be killing smarts you never even knew you had!
