Well, human babies are high maintenance with all their pooping, eating and crying. Nonetheless, there are cute human babies. It's just that the other babies(dogs, cats, etc) outnumber them in adorableness.
I think babies look pretty adorable, actually. Well, I'll be honest, I think MY babies look adorable. Everyone else's are disgusting, but mine are picture perfect. It's just a parental thing, I assume.

It's the fuzziness... Human babies look more like newborn rodents than they do like the young of many other mammals. Still, I think after a year or two they turn out alright... visually, that is.
Also, puppies and kittens aren't screaming shit machines, which is how I refer to babies in my head.

I found the dog and kitten to be more frightening, because I watched a cat get mauled by a dog. That human baby is adorable, though.
I never liked babies when it comes to people. I can understand someone thinking their own baby is the cutest thing ever, but I just don't see it with anyone's babies. Baby puppies and baby kittens are way cuter for some reason though. I guess the whole, them not screaming, and trying bumming money off of me for 18 or more years is a huge plus in their favor.

I don't think human babies look ugly or creepy. But like most people in this thread, I don't think they are particular cute either. Though obviously you'll probably think a baby is much cuter when it's yours.

Come to think of it, I think I once read something about many people not finding the babies of other couples to be cute. It's because our brain wants us to reject offspring that isn't ours. I don't know, this is probably complete bullshit but it's something I vaguely remember.
