I am reseraching the way in which news is consumed, and how some sources of information may misslead the audience.

so heres my questions:

Do you think tabloids or broadsheet newspapers portray and different story!

Innvolving the baby P case, how was the opinion of the journalist portayed through tabloids and broads sheets

and in general how do you think news papers portrayed the case of baby P to the publc and how the newspapers influence audiences opinions.....

Thanks

They say how horrible the social services are, how they didn't help the baby, but they don't mention the parents.
I formed my own opinion when I first heard it. Those bastards need to rot in hell for harming such a beautiful young child.

They seemed to pile the dirt on the Parents and rightfully so the guy was a horrible sadist and the mother was a horrible drunk *****.

All i found was horrible things so of course I know one side and that's the side that everyone will know.Maybe just maybe this case will M. Night Shyamalan our asses and get a out of the blue twist to change perspective completely. Until then what a pair of sick bastards

hey i have not heard anyhting about this I would have to reasearch it before i could say anything of major importantce but news is always bias because people have bias like fox, CNN, msnbc all lean one wat or another you cant get around that all you can do is try to find the facts and create your own opinion not just follow the newcasters view

From what I heard her boyfriend sounded like a clinical psychopath, which throws up a fucktonne of questions about just how accountable he was for what he did.

Though I have no idea what the "Baby P" cases are, I do, however have a Few things to say about the altercation of news in todays newspapers and tabloids. "Yellow Journalisim" began in the Spanish-American war, when literacy rates were going up and the distrubution of papers was unregulated. Due to the lack of laws for Newspapers, "Yellow Journalist" would use staged pictures, and then write a story relating to american patriotisim or how terrible the Spanish wre treating the inhabitants of the Cuban Islands. this practice died out due to the first act of newspaper regulation, which date and name elude me.

But with the Death of Yellow Journalisim, the pessimism of todays media was born, showing the slogan of "Bad News is the Best News". There has been reports of news agencies only investigating the darkest of stories. Though due to the world being a much darker place, and the greater need for people to know the worst so they can make the best out of it. This practice is not reprimended, but does have the effect of creating wide-spread pessimism. For my oppinon, I find myself wanting the news agencies reporting on the bliquer subjects, For shows such as the Today, often times are distraced from real world issues, and spend most of thier time sipping fancy wines or laughing about how much they love pre-teen girls holding signs with thier respective names on them. Though I digress, im getting to negative, the Today show does have its optomisim, and the spread of cheer should never be stopped.

As for the Tabloids, the celebrity tabloids only talk about the shock, its their mission statement. "Sift through the waters of happiness to the nugget of Dark truth, Sell to the Readers".
