Backward Compatibility PS3

I've been looking through some games that may be coming out in the future and I see that Beyond Good & Evil 2 may be a possibility. I've never played the original and it has great reviews.

Has anyone tried playing the original in their PS3? I have the 60G model with backward compatibility.

It should work just fine.
I haven't tried that exact game on my ps3 but I've tried many others that worked beautifully.
