There's a very good cartoonist by the name of Aaron Williams who, for a time, created a very good comic for a website called Crispy Gamer under the title "Backward Compatible". Crispy stopped running the strip, under a massive reoganization that sounds rather like "new upstart going down in flames"; Williams, in his most recent blog post (27 February, http://nodwick.humor.gamespy.com/index.htm), says that he's still "wondering what to do" with the comic.

Now, I don't know what Williams' rate is, I don't know if much of his work running off of Gamespy would pose a problem, I'm not completely sure that BC isn't based on actual people who worked at Crispy Gamer and would require massive revision to run under any other banner... I'm sure there's a lot I don't know about the issue. But I do know that Backward Compatible was one of the best and best researched comic strips on the subject of video gaming that I've read in quite some time, and it would be six shades of awesome if it somehow found its way to the pages of The Escapist.

Is there any way this could happen?

(Oh, and in case anyone is wondering: no, this is not Aaron Williams writing under a pseudonym.)
