Bad admins

G'day Escapists,

So I just came off of playing World in Conflict. It was just a regular game on Bridge, playing as support, laying down artillery in the suburbs. It is freaking obvious where artillery will land because an obnoxious red marker pops up with a countdown to the hit time. I was just about to hit a group of APC's, when captain crusader cruises in with some heavy tanks into my field of fire and gets them all blown up. Needless to say, he was pretty annoyed.

But before I could get on the mic to justify that he walked into my artillery, a message pops up saying that I'm banned indefinitely.

So, escapists, share your experiences with bad admins.

Also (since I know what will happen when people read the title 'Bad admins') can we please keep this discussion related to admins for online games? If you have any disagreements with the moderators of The Escapist then please PM our Community Manager, [user]Kuliani[/user], rather than post it on the forums. The majority of admins on Garry's Mod are dicks. They just abuse their position to troll the shit out of everyone. I was banned from a Terrortown server yesterday just because I was a traitor, and I ran into the main lobby on the map and unleashed my LMG, killing the admin and 4 other people. He got pissed and banned me forever, I didn't do anything wrong. The traitor's objective is to kill the innocents, I killed 5 and died, a good traitor would sneak around and pick people off one by one, but I needed a shit so I did what I could and took myself out of the game.

A lot of servers give admin to people who donate too, so you get 12 year old kids no-clipping around with infinite rockets. They don't get their rights removed too because they're paying to troll, which is good for the owner I imagine. There are some decent servers, but for the vast majority, if you don't know the admin he'll probably just shaft you for bullshit reasons.

i once got banned in tf2 because i dominated an admins friend... (i wasnt trying to i was playing as heavy and i used my "shoot everything that moves" stategy.)




one of my friends got kicked out of a server in l4d2 because he pounced the server leader as a hunter. and what the leader said as an excuse was : "he bad"
