Bad Company 2 SIngle Player Trailer

I don't know if this is new news to anyone or not but I stumbled on this today:

So from the trailer it seems Bad Company is back and it isn't new characters. The leigonaire (that useless end boss guy from the last game) is also back and seems to be trying to devolp a WMD to attack the US with. And for some reason it's up to the guys who last game stole enough gold to go into early retirement?

From what the trailer shows it seems to have less humurous squad antics and a bit of a more serious tone. However there does seem to completely over the top moments in the game which should be kinda cool. It does seem though that your character from the first game (Preston Marlowe aka the rookie) has become some sort of superhero as he throws himself out of planes and does some hand to hand combat.

Anyway this trailer has rekindled my intrest in the game's single player since I don't want to play just another serious shooter where you must stop the nukes or everyone will die (dun dun dunn). I'm hoping most of the game is as over the top as what they showed there and that there still the fun squad interactions.

So guys what's your opinion and has the trailer grabbed your intrest for the games single player?

Really? I quite enjoyed the gameplay in the demo. It was just kinda boring to play the same map over and over again. Especially when everyone wants to be a goddam sniper

where did you get your info on the legionnaire, because DICE hasn't said anything about him being in this game?

otherwise, the games is looking pretty damn epic.

The campaign's looking pretty good, with lots of epic moments and vehicular slaughter. Oh, also for some reason I really liked the fact that they had an actual USB stick with a laptop looking like it's running Windows or something similar. I don't know why, but seeing modern technology that real regular people use in a game is just a great thing for me.

According to an interview with DICE, there will be hilarious squad antics, they're the same guys, but the setting will be more serious.

This game has really lost its hilarity. Remember the old trailers. They were funny, I come to find this too serious. I mean the old ones reminded me of a mockery of the whole action movie/war film thing. This was all gritty and realistic. Not good!

Yea I remember the mad world trailer and the "rainbow sprinkles" one.. ahh the good old days

The only problem I had with the first game's single player was that no matter how I adjusted the settings, I couldn't hear what the characters were saying (cutscenes or in the battle). I really hope they fix this problem (better settings, subtitles, SOMETHING), because the story would be the only reason I'd pick this up.
