I rather like my name. Originally, I used the name "Earthbound80" in Runescape about 6 or so years ago. I've since dropped the alphanumeric nature of that name for the more pleasing Earthbound. In truth, I had never heard of the NES game of the same name when I selected the name, and I still haven't played it.

When I first started getting multiplayer games off of Steam, I kept changing my handle (or "screenname" I guess) until I was satisfied with it. I settled on "Obscure Indie Band," but I was "The Muffin Man" for a while. Still, even though you can choose whatever you want, there's still a lot of people with bad handles anyway. Go figure.

Used to use Ice-T (makes sense with my RL name) untill i found out it was already taken by a rapper... then it ceased to be cool, and just became rip-off. Now i just use my first name and possibly initials at the end

Well my gamertag is Cuddley bandit, I think the name's okay but I misspelled the word cuddly ~facepalm~.

I usally name mine after the norse god Loki. It's just such a simple name and most people can say it.

Edit: My steam name was made up back in 2003. Now I realize how many people you can turn away when you add numbers to the end.
