Well as I continue going online to view my e-mail, read various articles and express my amazingly clever wit (hardy har har) to numerous sites and forums (as well as that "other thing"....), I can't help but notice the increasing amount of idiots, douchebag hippies and religious nutjobs who pound my face with comments like, "OMG, UR RETARDED, HES A N***** OF CURSE HED B THAT WAY"... I didn't know so many racist rednecks knew how to use a computer until I started reading comments... and for whatever reason those comments on news articles always have to do with abortion, muslims, blacks, and God... even if the actual article was one about the hubble telescope... Anyway now that I'm done with my rant that someone will undoubtly find retarded/waste of time/get mad because they are the people who call others "sand-n*****s" over the internet, I want to know what you think.

What annoys you most about the internet and why?
(apologizes if this idea has already been done, if you want to say "i hate when people post about topics already covered" go ahead, I can take it, because I am a man and i definatly don't cry myself to sleep or anything every night... for the past 10 years...)

I don't know why people from the south are considered so racist.
Racism is predominatley from the north (specifically suburbs) where there is very little diversity.

Stop assuming everyone who you disagree with is a redneck!

I've seen this sort of problem on AOL news; the comments make me die a little inside. The Obamamaniacs are a little annoying, to be fair.

But then...then there are the people who claim Oprah and Obama are trashy because they are both black and cousins (???). There are the people who claim that all serial killers are gay (correction: there's a HUGE difference between pedophiles and gays. In fact, most child abusers I've heard of are straight). There are the people who are praying for Obama to get assassinated; there are the people claiming Obama to be a communist Moslem (one of the biggest oxymorons I've ever heard); there are the people who cheer when there's news of a minority, redneck, or young boy expiring in a gruesome way.

It's pretty damn ugly. That's why I love you guys; you have brains (and a heart). Hug?

The fact that ignorant people can flaunt their opinion as fact, with nothing to back it up, and that other ignorant people believe them and adopt those opinions. I know the internet is just a medium of free speech, and that's one of the beautiful things about it, but it's also one of the ugly things when people claim things like "certain races are inferior to others" and "there is no form of global climate change happening, and if there is, humans have done nothing to exacerbate it."

OK the thing about race is true I can agree with you on that.

The climate change thing has lead me to hate you with a passion of 10,000 spanish bachelors.

The unoriginality. Especially when people copy other people?s phrasing. I know it?s how we learn to talk, but these are not conversations, you have hours to come up with something interesting, original and honest to say.

This. I find it especially bad on youtube comments. Each to his own regarding oppinions, but for gods sake, try and get your facts traight before you get all arrogant about whatever it is we are discussing. I spend, foolishly, two days arguing with an american, who claied that most of europe was socialist, and that he felt sorry that taxes took most of the money out of our hands. And he wasn't even being derogatory. He was serious. But it was so sad, and so obvious, that he was just ranting what he had heard, instead of actually taking two precious little minutes to look at the facts. I mean, when you argue on the internet, the most vast source of information in the world, it is surprising how much ignorance crops up when people argue.
