I'd say go with Two and a Half Men. Granted, nothing much has changed script-wise since Charlie Sheen's tiger blood fuelled departure, but any and all entertainment value has left with Mr. Sheen.

Also, the 'funeral service scene/episode' marked a new low in sitcom entertainment... and, since then, the standard has been lowered by pretty much every single episode. It's a train wreck. And it's got Ashton Kutcher.
two and a half men (alongside BBT) is one of those shows I physically can't watch...

hateful, unfunny and I daresay a little sexist...the only remotly redeeming thing about it is Berta the housekeeper

I can only imagine the hate towards The Big Bang Theory comes from people whose nerves have been struck. Learn to laugh about yourselves!

We've been laughing about Joey Tribiani for being dumb, George Costanza for being short, Ray Barone for being a mama's boy, Jack MacFarland for being faggy, Michael Scott for being a loser, Niles Crance for being a snob, Al Bundy for selling shoes, Cliff Clavin for making up stories.......

But God forbid we make fun of someone for being a Nerd.
I agree, I can see The Big Bang Theory not being to everyone's tastes but you can't possibly call it a bad show. Yes we are laughing at the 'nerds' but they aren't meant to be realistic representations of the stereotype, they are all unrealistically extreme cases. I mean come on, one of the characters has a medical condition where he physically cannot talk in the presence of women unless he is drunk? Anyone who is offended by this show is taking it way too seriously. Not everyone will enjoy the humor but its a great show and does what it does well. This show isn't out to get anyone.

On topic, I can only repeat whats already been said and say Jersey Shore or Honey Boo Boo. From afar Gilmore Girls seems like utter trash but I haven't actually watched it so I can't make a fair judgement.

how i met your mother. Excruciating.

Btw, my 2 cents on BBT - I like it a lot, and I think it celebrates nerd culture and doesn't make fun of it.

If it had had that kind of attitude then it would have portrayed Leonard overcoming his 'nerdism' to become a social person before he got the girl. You know, in the same vein that patronizing media often depicts the 'good at heart' wild guy becoming civilized so he deserves the good he finally gets. (like Friday in Robinson Crusoe).

I'm voting for this and everything like it and everything it has spawned. It's very existence fills me with angry words.
Hahahaha. Yes, many angry words!

Why don't you like the show though?
The very idea of it, first off it shows one of the aspects of human nature that's just stupid and douchey and secondly it glorifies it.
Bad things get good ratings. It's like a car crash I think. :X
Yeah I think that's why most people watch it, just in an ironic sense. Because then it can become quite funny but I'd rather it just faded into obscurity instead of becoming part of our culture.

Yes there was really a sitcom about Hitler.
That was actually brilliant in a way. It was taking the piss out of the awful sitcoms of the time. The clichés, the clumsy handling of issues like race, the obnoxious laugh track, the stupid theme song, the awful jokes, they're all there for a reason. Heil Honey is awful because it's supposed to be, and the offence it caused means that it is a success as a statement. Nobody realized it, though, because BOO, HITLER!
If they were able to make a genocidal maniac funny (which I imagine is diffoccult), I think people would give them props for that.
But they couldn't, so we wont.

Either major Pro-Wrestling show is a good choice, since they operate on moon logic.
Moon logic with brain damage.
Which pro wrestling show?
I know which one you meant (WWE, because they're the ONLY choice for wrestling on cable TV and no one likes TNA on Spike) but not all pro wrestling is the same. It'd be like if we criticized all movies for having too many explosions and for not treating female characters right.
For the purposes of mocking/riffing for fun, either WWE or (TNA)Impact will work.
Both shows are a revolving door of idiocy.

For the better part of the last two years, my friends and I would play a drinking game once a week based on TNA. Though we gave up watching either of those since they seemed to be repeating the same block of stupid month after month.
(though methinks a big part of it is my friend "discovering" Dr Who in his OnDemand backlog.
So have you considered watching any indies, like PWG, Chikara (really good recently), or Resistance Pro?

No. My TV availability is quite limited and I'm not really into Pro-Wrestling much to begin with.

It may be too late. I see so many shows like that pop up, I just don't bother with TV now as a result. >.>;
Which is why we must become Luddite's and destroy all the TVs. I just hope guidos and other people that make me despair for humanity look back at what they were like and change and help their children be better people...or else.

I have to suggest Steven Seagal: Lawman from A&E. This show is a wonderfully bad version of reality shows like cops except with a B-grade film actor as the main character. It has to be seen to be believed.

You can try The River, it was on ABC a little while back. I watched most of the first and AFAIK only season because I was bored and didn't have much better to do, parts of it seemed like they had potential, and it was pretty clearly trying to be the next Lost and I didn't want to be left out for the next half a decade if it succeeded. To top it off 90% of it was done "found footage" style.

Like I said, the only choice as far as cable goes is the WWE. None of the companies I mentioned are on TV right now, so it's all internet.

Last I checked, TNA is on Spike (somehow) which is available through most cable packages.

Are you going by this definition? I've heard that word before but have never really looked it up. It gets thrown at JS quite a lot though. xD

A sad pathetic excuse for a male; not necessarily of Italian descent, but most likely; usually native to the New York/New Jersey Tri-State area.

WARDROBE: tight zipper shirts, tracksuits, designer jeans, fuzzy kangol hats, tiny hoop earrings, fake gold chains, and related Euro-trash garb and tacky cheese-wear.
Well when I think guido I think of people who look like this:
Except more orange

And this is basically what Jersey Shore consists of.

But it's not the look that gets me, even if the look does look horrible it's just the way they act. Only caring about getting money, so they can buy clothes so they can sleep with "guido" chicks so they can brag to their mates and the cycle repeats and they occasionally do steroids and go work out.

Ohh my. Your picture is worse then the definition I found. I haven't ever seen anyone like that where I live... >.<

Are most or all of those examples in the picture true?
Luckily neither have I. They're like mythical creatures, I hear of them and see them on tv and in pictures but I've never seen one in the flesh.

Well this is the google image page for Guidos and guidettes [https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=google&aq=0&sugexp=chrome,mod%3D0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=D1eJUPtz4ZDQBdnogZAE&biw=1366&bih=667&sei=EleJUK7RH6KV0QWTuoCABQ#um=1&hl=en&safe=off&tbm=isch&q=guidos+and+guidettes&revid=513242751&sa=X&ei=GleJUO3tK6mi0QXF4YG4BA&ved=0CHIQgxY&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&fp=458482be30b99a3d&bpcl=35466521&biw=1366&bih=667]

Anything on the WB, where 8th rate actors go to find work. I've been sitting through Beauty and the Beast because I know a writer for the show and the acting is excruciating and makes Revolution look good in comparison (and miss wrinkle forehead seriously needs to brush up on her chops outside of wrinkling her forehead).

But seriously, I don't think any show on the air today is as bad as She's the Sheriff or Manimal. Or how about Baby Talk or, for a more recent example, Cavemen?

Wikipedia even has a category for these shows: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_television_series_notable_for_negative_reception

This makes me question if they even exist where I live. I'm not against people who do any of those things, but I would be super curious to find out why they do what they do. I'm an information sponge, I want to know!
Well unless you live in new jersey I doubt you'd see many. I'm not against it either, I just want to know if they're actually happy being the way they are, I'd be kinda sad if they changed themselves so much to be the way they are and they weren't actually happy...Also, yeah I'd love to know why they do it xD It's the weirdest fad I can think of.

I find most t.v. shows unbearable, except for one or two. I don't actually have 't.v.' cable, so that saves me from most of the shlock. I've run into a few sholckterpieces on Netflix, but usually just move on to something else.

I went to my Mother's house with my eldest sister for a week long visit. It's something we do maybe once or twice a year, if that. My sister and mother are HBO junkies. They will watch nearly anything that comes out on HBO. They made me sit and watch episode after episode of TrueBlood, and really, I thought it was absolutely awful; even though it seems to be popular.

I'm not sure whether it was the corny acting, Anna Paquins face, overuse of sex, or the fact that I have always hated how vampires are portrayed in most movies and t.v. shows. When the actors open their mouths in what's supposed to be a horrifying show of fang, it's just absolutely silly to me and is quite painful to watch over and over and over. Luckily, it was late enough in the evening for me to have a few drinks. I wouldn't say the show was 'better' after those drinks, just more tolerable to sit through.

spekaing of which...Ive seen very little of comunity...but what I did see was when they were in a retro RPG (animated completly) and it was fucking hilarious, because the jokes werent "durr hurr they are playing a game" the jokes were based on the nature of games AND charachters that were funny...I got them and it was funny because it required a deeper knowelege of games than "DERP! MARIO!"
I know this thread is about bad TV, but you NEED to watch more Community asap. It is fantastic, and it deserves much more people knowing about it and watching it then it does.

Anyway, in terms of bad TV, the UK has The Only Way Is Essex, as probably it's worst.

There's always "Gossip Girl".
It was the low-point of television back in 07, we lost "Reaper" because of it.

Yup, the only reason someone could possibly dislike the Big Bang Theory is because it is such a hard-hitting and uncompromising show which strikes so devastatingly close to home.

Not, you know, the fact that it isn't funny.
