probably the realisation that the whole thing is no longer about religion or christ or whatever, but something even worse - capitalism's way of making us spend even more fucking money and making the fat cats fatter, if you get what I mean.

The fact that the things people complain about (the cost, the stress, etc.) are all caused by ourselves.

We're stressed BECAUSE we leave shopping to the last day.
It's expensive BECAUSE you choose to spend tons of money on it.

There are no rules that say "Leave the shopping to the last day, drive during rush hour, and buy the most expensive gift you can." And yet people seem to feel the need to do that, and complain about it.

I finished my shopping a month ago. I did it whenever I was somewhere that had something. I didn't spend a ton of money. Know how stressed I am? I slept until 3 this afternoon. That's how little I have to do now.

This day only comes the exact same time every single year, it should be punishable by death to be surprised by it.

It's Christmas, not a velociraptor.

I hate those same thirty or so songs that play every...fuckin'...year. We've know Deck the Halls, Rudolph, White Christmas, Jingle Bells and all those other songs since we were three, that doesn't mean you should play them every facking Christmas.

I just read my christmas truce book. Football is historically useful for something. Also, What's to hate about christmas? People give, love eachother and become sharing, and more caring. What more could you ask for?

If you look forwards to christmas for the pressies, You're seriously missing the point. Religious or not.
