Ballmen is a fun and fast moving FPS Half-Life 2 mod that involves one crazy element to it. The ability to flip gravity. It provides a new element to the game, as your opponent could be walking right above you! Games quickly turn into a vertigo fulfilling battle.
Recently me and a couple of friends have found this dead mod, which is one of its major weaknesses, player base. From what I have seen, me and a a few friends are the only people who play it, as well as some random people we have gotten to play it which makes it a little boring after a while. However, the pace of matches against each other and the mental need to have a bearing on where you just jumped to makes the game all the more challenging.
It is fun to flip around and try out the few different sets of guns (it is only 1 gun, but you can change what it fires) as well as the triple jump! It also becomes challenging to stay on the map, which adds a "watch where you jump" level of difficulty (which is harder than it looks).
So, I would recommend this game to anyone who wants to try a "different" free game. There are a few people who every-so-often drop by which makes the game all the more fun. It is only about 41MB, so quick to download and well, instant fun for those people who can handle the flipping over and over and over again.
