Which bands would YOU, the Community, like to see working together on a song?
Bearing in mind that the resultant music would actually need to sound ear-palatable, not just be created by your two favourite artists.
Personally, some form of Gorillaz/Portishead team-up might sound cool. Or Muse+Russian Circles.

This is my first thread ever, and yes, I did use the Search Button.
And no, my threads probably won't improve over time, because I'm an imbecile.

I wish that the XYZ project would have become true...

For those that have no idea of what I'm talking, it was a project combining ex-members of the Band Yes(Chris Squire and Alan White.) and guitarrist from Led Zeppelin Jimmy Page.

Theres some bootleg tapes of them playing together and I think theres on Youtube too, so if you like any of those bands is worth to check up.

It would have been awesome...*sigh*

This would be absolutely kickass.
Though Matt and Mike competing for mental guitar solos could last an awfully long time xD
And i would love to hear a drum battle between Dave and Dom.

Other collaborations i would like to hear would be Dream Theater with Incubus, or more importantly with Brandon Boyd. I love DT but James LaBrie's voice gets on my nerve an awful lot, Brandon has one of the best voices i've ever heard.
Also perhaps Explosions in the Sky with either Lights or The Postal Service, it'd be cool to see what they sound like with a blend of electronica and vocal minimalism in their music.

Strokes/Killers mash up would be nice (least to me anyways).
Hmmm that'd actually sound pretty good! I'm not a HUGE fan of The Killers, but I love the Strokes, and I reckon the 2 of them would sound good together.

But If I had to choose my own, Gorillaz and Queens of the Stone Age might sound cool. Maybe Burn the Witch and Feel Good inc?

Okay, this will sound weird, but think about it, don't listen to your gut reaction: U2 and The Band. Just think about that for a while.
