Hi guys, second Banksy review, seeing how it goes, i'm trying to stick with arcade games at the moment.

Okay, So basically, we've all had that moment in childhood where we were on the computers, the teacher was not there and we searched for games, and found a trials game, a essentially 2d game about using speed and posture to climb over obstacles.
No?
Well, just me then, but even if you haven't played any trials game before, i'd still recommend at least gettign the trial of this game (Yes, i know, the trial of trials, Funny.)

Enter Trials HD, the game about you, the rider, crossing increasingly harder tracks and explosive obstacles to get to the elusive finish line. working from just the looks, Trials could easily be a 3D game, with many things happening around the track, but when you realise the complexity of the 2D track itself, you actually become glad that you can neither turn left or right. You are essentially equipped with three things, Speed, on the right trigger, to go faster or slower, Posture, on the left stick, to depend which way you lean to climb up obstacles,or to do wheelies and such, and the Bailout, done by pressing Y, which shoots your driver off the bike like he'd sat on a firecracker, launching him into the air, A handy self-destruct in-case you fall, but do not die.

The tracks are well made and smoothly put together, in such a style which will generally point you on how to beat an area, i.e, a very curved ramp for a backflip. it is only till you try the track editor, a handy time-stealing extra which allows you to create and share your own custom made track with friends, that you realise the time and effort that must of gone into the detail that has gone into every track, and simple-looking ramp structures which take you about 30 minutes to make, with something like 10 in certain levels. The editor is admittedly simple enough though, and can take a bite out of your day like a fat man and a donut. even when you've made your track, you'll realise theres a complicated mode, which allows you even more objects to put in your track, and to mess with the physics.

There are 5 tiers of maps, Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme, on a scale of difficulty, 10 being hardest, Beginner is 1, Medium is 5, and Extreme is 13, Mercifully, there are only 4 Extreme levels, but completeing these will probobly take more time than the Beginner,Easy,Medium and Hard modes put together. You can simply complete the levels without caring about whitch medal you get, Bronze,Silver and Gold (And later, Platinum) and just play, but I recommend you take the perfectionist route and go for gold and nearly all levels, at least all Easy to Medium, if not Hard, its alot more rewarding. and with each tier (Excluding Extreme) having about 10 levels, these addictive maps will have you going and going for a long time.

Along with the tracks and the editor, there are the bonus maps of the skill games, unlocked by getting gold medals on the different tiers, these are a great break and source of fun, and also rated by medals depending on the skill they are testing, an example of a skill game is Delivery, a game where you have to get as far as possible in one minute while having two missiles in a trailer stuck to the back of your bike. the skill games aren't perfect however, and can be extremely tempremental, like in delivery, sometimes even spawning violently will be enough to explode the missiles.

A word of caution before you try this game, it is very frustrating, if you're trying to get gold, the number of times you will get to the finish line and flip over can be so annoying, you will hit the Back button to go back to the start that by the end you will not have a back button at all, and i have a black mark on my wall where a unfortunate controller found itself flying towards in frustration

Overall, the graphics are actually very good, and in HD look amazing, with the explosions beautiful and anything that brakes look like it will and should, Trials HD is not for the faint-hearted, but is a great game and is well worth its price tag, I reccomend it :)
