Dark Souls, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Bulletstorm.
I should mention that they're the only three in that list that I've actually played.

I have played precisely one of those games so I'm not really qualified to give advice here.

Deus Ex: Gold Filter was pretty good though. Could've (and frakly should've) been better but I managed to put about 50 hours into it so it must've been pretty entertaining.

Can I just recommend Rayman Origins?

You should really play Rayman Origins... =P. Like a lot.

If I have to pick 3...

Rayman Origins

Bulletstorm (I don't usually go for games like this... But damn... it was fun)

Arkham City...

Hard to call a third. Dark Souls if you like RPGs and challenges, Rayman Origins if you like platforming and co-op, Uncharted 3 if you like a nice narrative with slightly dull gameplay or Arkham City if you liked Arkham Asylum.

I wouldn't recommend Bulletstorm. It's nothing like you'd expect. It's basically Gears of War with more juvenile swearing and less interesting set-pieces. Boring.

There are the three games i will recommend from the list.

1. Batman: Arkham City: Excellent game with an excellent story. Playing as Batman and kicking the crap out of enemies is awesome. Plus, Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker just makes the game more epic.

2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: One of the best FPS RPGs I have ever played. The story is good and I loved the different outcomes depending on which way I handled a mission.

3. Bulletstorm: If you want a a game that makes your blood flow with ten different kinda of awesome this is the game for you. I love the electric whip and I also loved being able to kick enemies into sharp objects. Steven Blum voicing the main character made the game all the more awesome.

Of that list, I've only played Arkham City, but I would *highly* recommend that one. Best 2011 game I played =)

Don't play Resistance 3, if you can avoid it.

Dark Souls
Great combat, beautiful world, hair tearingly difficult combat (until you learn how to fight well, then it becomes less difficult and more about being careful and not getting a big head). Story is pretty interesting, but its not really given to you, gonna have to read up and pay attention.

Soul Calibur 5
Got it on launch and do not regret the purchase. They took away a good bit of options from some characters from IV (ex. Mitsurugi lost a stance), but what they added more than makes up for it once you practice a bit, get used to the new and improved gameplay (except the lack of free guard impact...), and don't go into it expecting a magnificent story (its a two hour long story mode. Most of the old cast isn't featured and if focuses around the whiniest character I've seen in awhile).

As for a third...haven't played them besides a demo for Bulletstorm. Didn't care much for the gameplay in the demo so I wouldn't recommend it. Heard Arkham City is good though. Plus you're Batman in it. BATMAN. Need I say more?

EDIT: Hm..somehow I managed to miss Deus Ex on that list. Deus is a great game, found it very fun, but you might only get a couple of playthroughs out of it. While that is still well over 40 hours of gameplay if you don't rush, the playthroughs past the first get kind of tedious when you listen to EVERYTHING everyone wants to say.

Dark Souls
SoulCalibur V (remove if you want a good singleplayer experience however)
Uncharted 3

That's my personal choice anyway

I would also suggest you do NOT play Bulletstorm (rent it or borrow it if you want), because it is basically a silly form of Gears o War. I had fun playing it, but there is practically no replay value in the game. The multiplayer is completely retarded, and the game reeks of so much Gears o War that it mind as well be "Gears o War + silly gadgets"
Hell, if you want to play it so bad, I'll mail you my copy. I don't play it and never will again. The game is really that bad.
