Batman Arkham Asylum Demo

Hello all!
I just finished playing the demo through for the third time and it is fucking amazing!
I did have one question though; in the title screen, under the New Game button, there is a greyed out button that says Challenge Mode. I can't go on, so I'm wondering if the developers are planning on releasing this later in the demo or if this is just the real start screen of the final full game and the creators just didn't bother to make a new start screen for the demo. At first I thought it might be something that would be unlocked once you had completd the main demo, but no luck. Is anybody able to shed any light on the situation?

That is just for the complete game, they have all that stuff on there to try and tease you into buying the full game. Aslo, it is the real start screen for the full game. Angers me that you see Killer Croc on the character trophy thing and don't even fight him in demo.
i didnt played it, but i saw videos on the net and it looks like a good game based more on "stealt" than "bust them all" (or whatever those games are called)
but i fear they are going to ruin things with quick time events (not that i have heard anything mind you, but it just seem like the tipe of thing to ruin such a game)

It's cool and all, pretty much exactly what i had expected. Voice work is excellent, it's nice having batman sound like a human being again... I pretty much agree with everythign else said in this thread but i will emntion that for me at least that arkham demo is mindnumbingly easy. "detective mode" is basically an answer key and tells you "hey! do something amazing with one buttons now that i highlighted it for you. Stuff like that bugs me in action games. Lemme play the damn game!! SO far combat against reg thugs is pretty damn simple too. press attack..when the cue comes up press counter..be epic. Without much of a challenge this game could get boring fast.

Great demo, I've played it several times now. The only thing that will hurt this game at this point is if it winds up being too short. If they throw in some wrinkles for replayability, then this is a no-brainer purchase.
And I do agree about the Splinter Cell with a cape analogy, but I think thats one of the reasons why the SC series was so cool. It made you feel like Batman. And now the Batman game makes you feel like Sam Fisher.
Its a win-win.

You 360 owners do know that you will get to play as Scarecrow right? And you know what that means? That I will have to buy the DLC for Scarecrow and you will have to buy the DLC for Joker. They are both pretty cool, because Scarecrow has some bada** claws.MasterStratus said:

Actually Joker is PS3 exclusive, Scarecrow is gamestop exclusive, so PS3 gets both, 360 gets scarecrow if they get it at gamestop.cooperace27 said:

Let's also leave the 360 VS PS3 crap outside. That is not the discussion! Batman and how much this game kicks ass is. I love how it feels like Metal Gear Solid with Batman in it. That is how he is supposed to play like. He is a detective ninja with body armor. This game is going to rule!!
