I just recently bought Batman Begins on Blu Ray, having lost my copy of the DVD a while back. Watching it again, I was blown away by how solid of a movie it was. Unfortunately, it gets lost behind the fanfare for The Dark Knight. Don't get me wrong, I love The Dark Knight, but a problem I've noticed with it is that I am constantly waiting for the Joker to show up again. I know I'll probably get the usual "Because Heath Ledger died, which was great publicity for the movie," responses, and maybe even the unfortunate "ZOMB BCUZ J0KER IS TEH R0XX0RZ!!1!" jibberish, but why does this solid, thoroughly entertaining origin story not get as much attention as it's sequel?

Why? I think its because the Dark Night was more recent :p

Heath Ledger died, Harvey Dent goes crazy, blah, blah. It was a great film but I too quite enjoyed Batman Begins.

People just like the Joker as a villian better than Ra's al Ghul too.

[sub]Heh, Apocalypse lane had this argument in one of the later episodes XD[/sub]

Begins is a fantastic film, The Dark Knight is a fantastic film. I don't think it really matters if one was "better" than the other.

I must be honest, the main problem I have against Begins is that it's an origin story, and that it just doesn't feel as 'epic' as TDK. But many people have the opposite opinion (including most all major critics)
