Holy fucking shit! The photography... and the lighting... and the loose focus... and the deep existencial themes presented with no dialogue... and on top of that it's in black and white and in French! It's a fucking Batman art movie!

Obviously those fundies where right, the world has already ended. No real world could actually create something like this.

That was... actually amazing... and my God, Batman needs to be done more in film noir style.
Wonderful pathos, grim and bold in execution.

I'm astonished that they got access to the Nolan version of the suit, though.

My opinion was kind of meh on this, honestly. I dislike it when films (or anything, for that matter) gets 'artsy' to the point of incomprehension. I couldn't tell what was real or what was happening in the imagination, and the subtitles didn't help as they were tiny and often blurred into the background

Wow, that one scene was fucking hard to watch.

Also, Batman in the church was fucking awesome. That scene defines Batman.

That was a pretty terrible and unoriginal Batman adaptation. And they film itself was uninspiried and dripping in heavy noir cliche's.

I mean c'mon! Not only did they use shots from the Dark Knight, his suit, weapons, and Batmobile were of the same design. This was just a super angsty and bad omage to Nolan's films.

Also, why was Wolverine there?

HOLY WIN BATMAN! Seriously, Wolverine was friggin ripped in half by The Hulk and he survived, and Batman just can't be bested. So this monstrosity must be unbeatable!

Yeaaaa, I already knew about the Amalgam Universe. Is that still an ongoing mini-series thing or did it die out already?
Amalgam didn't last but a few years. I think it went under officially sometime around 98'.

Just from what I could read/see.

Bruce Wayne is tired of being Batman and has decided to quit. He lives with a alcohol problem and people suspect that he is involved in criminal activities. Seeing a couple being threatened with a knife by a mugger, Batman (Bruce) comes up with a plan. After stopping the mugger, Batman shoots the couple with a handgun infront of their child (Logan/Wolverine). As time goes by, Wolverine (Logan) grows up and wants revenge. Evidently it appears that this is what Batman has been planning all along as when Wolverine kills and unmasks him, Batman is smiling. It could be assumed that Batman purposely set the events in motion to create a new hero to replace himself as he was tired of being Batman or couldn't live with himself for some reason. That would explain why he makes a reference to himself 'Becoming the bat' and such through his own incident of seeing his parent's die.

My GOD! The angst level!
It's... OVER 9,000!
Not really, no...
I thought it was AWESOME! I would like to see it made with a huge budget! Make the effects and the lighting better. It was IMO ossim... (though there was a sort of annoying "diamond" effect all the while through)
