Ok, I saw the Dark Knight film and I can safely say, it is made of awesome! I take back everything I said about the guy being a phedofile in a rubber suit!

I want to know the serious films what were before this one. Because I remember a few years back I watched one and it was about a guy in a mask who sprayed gas and drove people crazy, and he was at the start of this one. I just want to know the order of the films what were good.

I think one is batman returns. So if someone could make a list of the films where batman is a dude, I would be most pleased, preferably like this:

1. (1832) Batman film 1.
(The between films here)
X. (2008) Dark knight.

I got a whole collection, but it's downstairs by my theatre room and I'm lazy.

But yeah, I saw dark knight about 2 days ago at the drive-in theatre. A bit of it was bullshit, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable movie, even if my stomach felt like there was something in my trying to escape because of a bad hotdog I got at the concession.

You know, if you just looked it up on Rotten Tomatoes you could find all the Batman movies and their orders and stuff. But if you want my opinion (and the opinion of many) the first Batman with Jack Nicholson as the Joker and Michael Keaton as Batman was awesome, then the rest all sucked until Batman Begins and the Dark Knight revived the series.

I dunno, Batman Returns was good. Warped beyond all imagination, but still good. Besides, Michelle Pfeiffer is hot as hell on a normal day, and in a latex cat suit?

Awesome.

EDIT: Sonofabitch, Indigo beat me to it.

Batman: The Movie, based off of the old TV series is so bad is awesome. It knows exaclty what it us, a super cheese fest with shark repellent bat spray.

I am just grateful that there are batman movies that are good now. Bataman and batman returns were great but after that it went to shit. too cartoony and cheesy. I am glad the new batman movies are much down down to earth and darker as batman has always been. I just hope the next one is good and introduces one of the more not so lame and out of place villains. Ya know like cat woman, penguin, or even the riddler.

Partial agreement...
Batman (1989) was epic in its day. Today it seems substandard alongside the new-gen comic movies, but when it came out it was the be-all-end-all comic film complete with McDonalds collectors cups, Hotwheels diecasts, and Batman everything from bedsheets to underoos.

Batman Returns was still pretty damn good, and had a real all-star cast. Its only failing point is that it had to follow Jack Nicholson's act, and he's tough to beat. Batman Forever is when it went sour, Val Kilmer being the WORST batman of the three actors used. Batman Forever saved some face by switching to Clooney and having Alicia Silverstone in some tight-ass rubber, but lost it by squaring off against Ahnold and the Bride.
Totally have to disagree. George Clooney's inability to act made him the worst Batman. Even Val Kilmer's so-so performance topped his disorganized lack of character.

Jack Nicholson never played The Joker.
He played Jack Nicholson wearing clown makeup.

Yeah, I thought they died out with mullets and Nixon and all the other nostalgia-related historical bad aftertastes.

I like all of the older movies mainly because they're more funny than serious. I love the fact that Batman Begins and The Dark Knight took a more serious approach, but it doesn't make me hate the older movies.
Batman And Robin was my favorite because of Poison Ivy.
I didn't really like any of the actors who've played Batman up until the new ones, though.

Agreed. Plus, Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones were also vastly better than anyone in Batman & Robin.

Batman & Robin actually has the distinction of being the only movie I ever walked out on.

Yeah but that's normal. Actors like Nicholson, Shatner, and Heston always play themselves. Then you've got Adam West, who plays himself but more crazy.

That's when you know you've made it as an actor, when you play yourself and get paid several million to do it.

Technically Nicholson wins, because not only does he only play "Jack Nicholson", but Christian Slater also always plays Jack Nicholson. There are other people who earn money playing him.

I can definitely recommend the Batman: Animated Series [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103359/fullcredits#cast] stuff; those stories were great, and the voice cast was killer-on. (Mark Hamill as the Joker? Richard Moll as Two-Face? Efram Zimbalist Jr. as Alfred? Adrienne Barbeau as Catwoman? David Warner as Ra's al Ghul? Paul Williams as Penguin? Ron Perlman as Clayface? Arleen Sorkin as Holly Quinn was amazing, her "Hello, Mr. J" was spot-on. And Kevin Conroy created the benchmark Batman voice, in my opinion.)

That's probably the next DVD boxed set I'll pick up.

i totally thought that for a while... then i got a job at one. I don't recommend that, btw. Working till 3 AM cause the theatre decided to have a midnight showing sucks pretty hardcore, especially when you're the guy cooking food for everyone. thankfully i've been out of that shit hole for a while now.
