Batman Sues Nolan

Batman is suing The Dark Knight director, Christopher Nolan. And, no, I don't mean the Caped Crusader. I mean the town in South East Turkey, named after the Bat-Raman mountains, which predates Batman the vigilante by about a decade.

Residents believe that the success of the popular American film adaptations could be to blame for the city's increasing suicide rate among women, and unsolved murder rates.

"The royalty of the name 'Batman' belongs to us... There is only one Batman in the world. The American producers used the name of our city without informing us." said Huseyin Kalkan, the mayor of Batman.

Well, they claim the town was founded over a decade prior to the first appearance of Batman in comics, although I'm not sure how it's pronounced. I doubt we would say it the same way we say 'Bat-man'.
