even though it's on Blizzard time and so the only date you should trust from them is "tomorrow".
Not even then. I look at Blizzard as the VALVe of RTS games - great, highly polished games that are never, ever released on schedule.

Yay, so I won't be able to play the full game until 2015 minimum. Well that's just prime. Hopefully by then the price will have dropped on the first two thirds of the game.
And this is different than if they were putting all this work into one game... how? Your logic eludes me here. It'd still take 18 months to finish the Zerg campaign, and then another ~18 months to finish the Protoss campaign, but we just wouldn't have the Terran/multiplayer to play in the meantime. We wouldn't get to play ANY of it until 2015.

Either that, or they'd have to start cutting way back. Is that your solution?

Kerrigan is human again, right? Then how will she have anything to do with the Zerg campaign?
Here is one suggestion by me, purely my stuff, but a possible way.

They need Kerrigan to fight the Xel'Naga, but not Sarah Kerrigan, but the queen of the blades. While little jimmy was right saving her, unzerging her was a problem. So my guess is that the zerg-campaign will concern with re-zerging kerrigan, to allow her to controll the swarm again, to help fighting. But this time she should do so, without turning into a mad... person.
Remember that Zerg bio specimen in Stetman's lab? I bet that will have a lot to do with it.

OT: I'm willing to wait.

I'm making the assumption that since she still had her strange hair that she wasn't completely changed back and she still has some small amount of control over the Zerg. And don't forget that she's still psychic. We probably start Heart of the Swarm with that small amount of Zerg control and then grow Kerrigan into re-gaining the strength she had as Queen of Blades, only sans evil.

Ehh. A date of about 18 months after the release of Wings of Liberty had been knocking around for ages, so this is just more evidence, even though it's on Blizzard time and so the only date you should trust from them is "tomorrow".
Unless you're counting WoW's patches, one of which got delayed 2 hours before it went live.

I usually don't side with that guy but he's right. They you know... could have not had taken 11 years (Or however many) since the first game and the Brood Wars expansion.

i honestly cant see how it will take them 18 months to make the expansion pack i mean they have the graphics they have the game engine they have all the units (if you look in map editor it even has a fair few from the orginal starcraft) all there really gonna be doing is making a story
