The only vaugly realistic wargame of any kind I have ever played was ARMA 2 and frankly I found the experience impenetrable.

I was actually having a discussion with my flatmate yesterday about simulators and the strange place the fill in the gaming community. Really the province of the classic anorak rather than the modern nerd.

I will now agree that Battlefeild 3 is bad and not realistic. Reminds me of that other game Battlefield 3 which also wasn't realistic but then it wasn't trying to be anyway.

I don't think s/he's trolling but expressing a very heart felt, if brief opinion. I've very interested in this game BF2 is very good, got it on DISC for $10 and was allowed to install it on 10 PCs simultaneously, so, I 'm thinking BF3 looks to be a good purchase too when the time is right. It is supposed to push my PC hardware to its limits, which I'd really like to see.

I can handle some unreality. After all, I've played the Halo series!
