Battlefield 2...

Yes, I know its been out for awhile but I have a friend at EB Games who told me they have a used copy of the Battlefield 2: Complete Collection for $10.

Now, I was tempted to pick this up, i mean its only $10 but the main selling point of this game has always been the online play and if its dead online then I'm not going to bother.

Opinions?

It is not dead online.

And for only $10 there is no reason to pass up one of the greatest multiplayer games ever.

There are still plenty of servers to find if you want to play online, but I always found it's gun style irritating. Their hit-cone mechanic means forget about hitting anything with a machine gun at range, and even sniper rifles will stab you in the back. Long story short, you can still play it online, but why bother?

It's still going but from what I've heard mostly a load of ridiculously good snipers play it or I might be thinking of another one. By those I mean people who stay on a server and camping waiting for an unsuspecting person who hasn't been on in awhile to invade there server and die lots. Although I heard this from a friend so I don't know for sure.

If you can lose x amount of money and not be worried, then you can buy anything for x amount of money, and not be worried.

Get it, excellent multiplayer with loads of active servers / players. It will entertain you for while .

Get it! I play this every damn week almost, and I've had it since release date. And if your friend has it, too, it'll be even more fun playing with him. It's still going strong. There are multiple servers with 64 player limits that are constantly full.

multiply the price by 8 and its still worth it.
it is seriously the BEST FPS on the PC as far as i'm concerned.
still play it, especially with 1.5 patch.

Can you name ONE effective way of killing a jet that is raping everyone on your team?
(discounting AA guns; too slow, inaccuracte, ineffective)
(discounting other jets; discounts Rock Paper Scissors theory, requires high flying skills)
