i was looking at the forums at battlelog.battlefield.com and there is a lot of bitching about prone and bugs. the only thing i have to say to those people is if you dont like the game dont buy it. i love the beta bugs and all and the multiplayer without your bitching and moaning will be so much better.

what do you think? share my thoughts?

I'm holding out hope, but I can't play the beta due to a bug, so...
I really want to play though.

I like prone, diving into cover when 50 cals blow the floor away around you. That intense feeling of having your cover slowly disintegrate before getting up and running again.

'If you don't like it, don't buy it'

I somehow doubt Dice share your philosophy on it. People ***** so that things get fixed... that's the point of a beta. And the prone campers really are quite annoying.

Prone is odd... sometimes its REALLY easy to just shoot a prone person and get a headshot, other times its like they are invinsible. In the mall area of the Subway in particular, near point B in that corridor. Hiding behind the large lockers on the right makes you damn near God-like.

The screen flashes are a pain in the arse too. But I enjoy the introduction of flashlights and lasers too... little things like keeping a bullet in the chamber when you reload to make a 30 mag hold 31, dropping like a rock when you prone dive or leaping over walls are also what makes a game great.

Oh and being able to customize guns on the fly, how good is that?! And bipods, contextually useful and have you tried sniping with it? Steady as a rock.

Oh and recognising suppressive fire and rewarding you for it, the Support class actually IS a Support class thanks to that little change.

Really? You like the bugs?

You like squads of your friends getting split up onto separate teams, the sound randomly cutting out, screen occasionally flashing white, falling through the level, enemies becoming dead bodies which causes the characters to not render making them invisible, and the loading screens having a 50/50 chance to cause the game to silently crash, giving you an infinite load-screen?

How the fuck could anyone like that?

And yes it's a beta, but it's also three weeks until release. That leaves about two weeks of an ability to fix anything without needing a patch, leaving the last week for manufacturing the disks. This game needs a LOT more work.

Also, if we don't like the game, we should simply stay silent about all the issues it has and not buy it? What kind of ass-backwards logic is that? If everyone did that, none of the flaws would get pointed out, resulting in a worse game overall. People complain because they WANT to like the game, they WANT to buy it.

This game has issues. People are pointing them out. Perhaps they are a bit over-zealous, but this game has a large amounts of issues that really need to be addressed. Both in terms of bugs and balance.

I agree, it's more that the people on the forums are RAGING. Not trying to intelligently point out bugs, just screaming their head off because someone killed them from a rock.

Things need to be fixed.

It has that thing I completely hated in CoD games of where you run up unloading on someone with every shot landing on them yet they somehow kill you in about 2 bullets. It's something that kinda ties in with the game not really letting you know you've been shot till about two seconds after it happened, which is something I doubt they can fix.

Oh, and the UMP is overpowered.

Fun game, though I don't really think Operation Metro is the best map to accurately describe what a Battlefield game is going to be like.

I've been reading the battle log forums and.. I really don't see the random unintelligent raging I keep hearing about. Granted, I avoid all of the topics with titles that are obvious non-sense "Get rid of Prone!" and such-what, but all of the topics with over 5000 posts in them (mostly petitions to fix/replace/change some portion of the game - and usually a major change at that) seem incredibly thought-out and presented in a fairly calm fashion.

It's fortunate that they are the ones writing the requests for change, and I'm simply saying "/sign", because inside, I am SCREAMING at Dice/EA for some of the obvious problems/bugs in the game at this point. And also because, at this point, so very little of it will be addressed before the game is shipped. There is just not enough time. Although I'll be the first to admit

I wouldn't mind a month or two delay in order for them to fix important crap. Of course they won't, for multiple reasons. Such as competing with MW3, holidays... etc.
