One of the biggest games of 2011 has been in action for a little over two months now. For everybody who has bought it and played its legendary multiplayer, what are your highlights of the game? Any disappointments? Come PC and console players, one and all.

I've only had BF3 for a few days (keep that in mind), but I'm sure people who've played longer than I have definitely have things to share.

Highlights
- The visuals are amazing, even on consoles. The lighting and animations are just perfect
- The sound is phenomenal. BF3 is probably one of the most atmospheric FPSes just because of the sound.
- The multiplayer is huge and makes you feel like you're in a real war with shifting control points and small skirmishes in between the larger goals
- The soundtrack is actually pretty good at setting the mood in the campaign, which kind of surprised me.
- The voice acting was pretty good too.

Disappointments

- It ALWAYS seems like you're wearing goggles, because sun flare, dirt specks, and rain drops are constantly blocking your vision, which makes no sense.
- The tac-lights and laser sights are just horrible. I'm pretty sure you can't blind someone with a laser pointer in broad daylight without shining it directly and deliberately into their eye from a short distance, which is kind of hard to do when you're getting shot at IRL.
- In multiplayer, it seems like you can die much more easily than in previous Battlefields, making it feel closer to Call of Duty's whoever-shoots-first-wins firefights.
- I probably just have to get used to it, but the recoil on a lot of the guns is kinda ridiculous.
- I can't see jack-shit in the nighttime levels in the campaign, because of the completely obscuring glare by every single light source
- The campaign blows: it's short, has many cheap deaths, too many QTEs, and nobody smiles :(

Overall, I'm a little disappointed with Battlefield 3. The campaign totally apes Call of Duty, and the multiplayer has some very weird design issues. I'm hoping that most of what I dislike will go away after I get used to it, since I've been playing Bad Company 2 all this time (and I've gotten pretty good at that game). I'm trying real hard to like BF3, because I've love the Battlefield series since BC1 and 1943.

So what say you?
