For those of you out there who bought and are currently playing Battlefield 3, I have one simple request.

If you are in multiplayer as an assault or a support class, PLEASE drop your medkits/ammo.

I get sick and tired of trying to be a team player in a game where it counts and taking a class with limitations that are augmented by or dependent upon the abilities of other players only to watch a support class play run and gun while several of his teammates stand by spamming select to request ammo, only to have them run off and leave everyone high and dry.

Why drop ammo and health? For one thing, you get free points. There is about a 5 second cooldown on dropping your box and they are unlimited. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by doing your job. For another thing, it keeps your teammates in the fight and helps your team win, thus giving even more points. Why wouldn't you?

I don't know about the rest of you but I play primarily hardcore and I have a general rule of 3 requests and then I team kill you and take your kit to drop the box myself. I can easily recoup the points I lose by killing you from the other people the box resupplies and I will damn sure do it in kill cam so you know exactly why you had to die.

Eh... I'm pretty sure that in the world of online games, team-killing is considered a greater sin than failing to drop health kits or ammo.

Yeah.... Your playing an FPS. Im sure no one cares about you or the team, only their K/D.

Im not trying to come off as mean or anything, but what did you expect? xD The gaming community as a whole has had a rapid decline over the years, and expecting anything other then killstealing and noobtoobing is a little foolish.

Tee hee. You expect decent teamplay in a Modern Multiplayer Shooter. That's adorable. Ah, to be young and idealistic again!

They're not gonna listen. They'll continue to do whatever they feel is right and that's generally ignoring everyone around them and shooting shit, even when doing so loses them the game.

And here I am playing games that frequently have like 3 health packs dropped in a cluster.

The thing I'm annoyed with is that so few people use the spot function. It's a life saver in this game, as it's incredibly easy to hide in all the visual clutter.

That's what clan servers are for. Lovely lovely clan servers.

Young? Who's young?

You're right, they won't listen. At least most won't but that's why I have "option two" of doing it myself with their kit.

I don't relish the idea of killing teammates but the 10 second loss of a run and gun "lolol gun is for fite" noob to further the success of the people who are trying to fly right is a worthy sacrifice.

I will, however, admit to being a bit two faced though due to the fact that I absolutely love these douches when they are on the other team.

I've watched my teammates teamkill people waiting for the jets/copters/tanks to spawn so they got it first.

It's sickening. Actively avoid servers with friendly fire turned on now.

OP: Must not be playing with me, then. Whenever I see someone holed up somewhere, I chuck a medkit at them even if they're at full health. Sure enough, I usually get 'Heal 20' spammed a minute later.

Generally see people spam Medkits...almost NEVER see Support drop ammo packs, though. ENGINEERS NEED AMMO REALLY BAD ALL THE TIME.
