hello,
Yes battlelog/DICE despite their security have allowed bf3 users (mostly on pc) to have their IP's obtained by attackers. I know this to be actually common. I got dos attacked a few days ago, it was brief and hopefully after some measures does not return. SO i decided to come here and
ask around if anyone has experienced the same thing with bf3/battlelog.

It is certain the attacks are traced back to origin ip services, i just want anyone who's experienced it as DICE didn't do the normal procedure of shutting down the service to protect the identity of their players.

So despite what DICE says atm about no user data was obtained, is false. Yes ip's are easily obtained but it is still of concern as thats identity and who knows what else was stolen. I've spoken to server admins who say not much can be done. Some i spoke too already reported of data loss. I myself only had a corrupted MBR boot. Would like if possible to get any indication of how widespread it is, just the pc users please....im sure its just battlelog pc servers.

thank you, bye.

I'd be more worried if they got my subnet address as well...

Someone got my IP? Woopteedoo. Good for them. Won't affect me the slightest.

I havnt experienced anything of the sort yet. I did experience the servers being down but thats it. If you've been DDoS attacked then I would gather whatever kind of proof you can, put together a private youtube video and send it to one of the DICE devs. DICE has a, IMO stupid, policy of not directly addressing bugs, glitches, and other problems with their games. If you make that info private they can take a close look at it and maybe help you or at least further secure that info

Yeah, I've got the warning on my Battlelog and my connection on 360 has been a little spotty lately but there's been nothing different on my end.

I mean, my team-mates have slowly become morons but apart from that, nothing has changed. :p

Team-mates are always morons. Its like the second law of online gaming.

OT; havent had anything bad happen on my end, but then again if i run into such a thing i just turn it off and on again unplug and replug my modem. Problem solved.
