Battlefield 3 Teaser Trailer Online

I think I just blue myself.

I've been a fan since Vietnam. Battlefield 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. Bad Company 2 was a great game, but not truly Battlefield.

The trailer had a jet, so I'm assuming they're back, which is great. I never flew them, but they added to the whole battlefield. Also, I love the remix of the music, even if its only for a short bit.

And it seems like they're staying in the modern setting, which I'm glad. I know many disagree, but I can't stand the future. The past is a bit boring. I love near future settings in video games.

There's a news thread on this. But I'm not going to berate you. I mention it because the news thread states there will be 64-player battles on the PC.

Thats nice. Really, really nice. But what I'm really hoping for is a battlefield commander. That one thing will make/break my purchase. Because that stops large games from descending into massive clusterfucks. And makes things much more interesting and fun.

Also, you'd think they could have some better box art instead of "Bad Company 2's, but darker".

Ah well, not really that big a deal, but I'd just wish it was less generic.

Gah.. I just found out and didn't see it on latest content and I've been checking the Escapist throughout the day. My bad. I should've checked the full news listings.

Thats nice. Really, really nice. But what I'm really hoping for is a battlefield commander. That one thing will make/break my purchase. Because that stops large games from descending into massive clusterfucks. And makes things much more interesting and fun.

I agree. And I was actually surprised that most of the games I played of BF2 had good commanders. Only some had commanders that would run around trying to get a good KDR, when what they really should have been doing is, well, commanding. I'll buy the game regardless, though. As long as it has squads, which is pretty much a given.

Also, if a commander sucks, you can start a vote to kick him out of command. If enough players vote yes, he's kicked out, and the choosing of a new commander starts again(with the guy who got kicked out being unable to win).

Yes it has flaws, mainly because it relies on people agreeing with each other, but its better then nothing.
