And I don't think there's much else to say....hehe....

except figuring out how the jedi/sith warriors could be implemented could prove a bit tricky.
hmmm...perhaps they can be handled in 3rd person like battlefront, or implemented as a special game mode setting (I mean they probably didn't have these elite soldiers at disposal in every battle)

These modern shooters (call of duty, battlefield, etc.) have some solid mechanics, and overall are pretty polished. (i'm not a big fan of the perk systems , bblablabla, etc.)but i think incorporating the starwars universe with some tweaks to suit the setting would just completely fix the 'blandness' of these games......

Was just geeking out over the idea, just wondering what other gaming folk thought of this concept.

Even then, there'll be massive nerd rage over the elements borrowed from other franchises, because these days you can only use original mechanics, no matter how well others work.

As much as I loved 2 though, it just lacked the overall polish that was deserved...imo...
I just think one of those studio's more experienced in online shooters could provide that.

battlefield in specific because of the vehicle implementation that there known for.

Oh just remembered your other point, I think just trying to implement a working system for the starwars universe would be enough. I mean once you balance basic things like lightsaber wielding jedi's, and there force powers for instance.

I suppose the main theme is just a well experienced studio that could really realise a good starwars game.

That runs on the COD engine. I would prefer it on BF's engine. Anyways, I really hope BF3 will come out one day.

It was called Battlefront, and fans have been waiting for Battlefront 3 for fucking ages.

LucasArts, get off your fat arse and publish the games we want rather than crappy Force Unleashed bollocks!

Battlefront got round that by nerfing the Jedi/Sith characters to a certain extent, but it actually worked quite well.
