Dear Community,

I bought BC2 like almost a year ago and have never made the multiplayer work since.
Singleplay works just fine, but when I try to connect to a PB enabled server I get kicked after a few seconds for "missing communication - pnkbstr" blah.

You might think I didn't google, I tried almost everything possible.

I'm admin, I have no firewall nor active antivirus (I don't really surf the interwebs on my gaming machine),
ports are open, tried the custom installer which just threw the message "Checking Status - STOPPED" and therefore error at the installation, and "Remove Registry Entry - ERROR" at the deinstallation. I even tried to run it in WinXP compability mode.
I don't want to know how many times I've reinstalled the game.

There's even another way by some program called "pbsetup.exe" which let's you add the game and update it's punkbuster manually.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I've noticed a lot of people experiencing troubles with PB and Win7 and there are a lot of solutions, but none worked for me.

Please help me, I'm already desperate with this piece of cr** !

I can't help you; I didn't have that issue and I wouldn't know how to resolve it. Also, it shouldn't really be an issue, seeing as literally nobody plays it any more.

Edit:
Point to Mercury, but he wouldn't have needed that other program if he wasn't playing the PC version, which is what I can confirm is deader than tie-dye.

That may be the case on PC, but BC2 is still going strong on LIVE.

Where the hell did you get that idea from? PC games are region free plus and even if they weren't, he wouldn't be to start the game let alone play single player or attempt to connect to a server.

That's what I did but it still won't work.

I'm from Austria and I ordered it from Amazon.co.uk, but that doesn't matter I guess.
