So I just finished playing battle field 1943 that I had downloaded the trial version of on my xbox. It was fun but there wasnt a lot of people that were playing at the time so the battle seemed week and much less choatic and fun that normal game of MW 2 has

So I was wondering if there were any other Battlefield games out that lots of people play and how choatic they get. I loved the Star Wars Battlefront front games on my original xbox so I wanted to give these a try

thanks for all the replys!

Chaotic messy gameplay is a cod feature. Exclusive.

See this guy, this guy right above me, I think he's wrong.

The battlefield games are never as messy or hectic as MW2 but that is mostly a good thing. However, if you are looking for a good Battlefield game wait until March 23 for Bad Company 2

Battlefield 2 still has a descent population. I was playing it earlier today in fact. I don't know about 2142, I'd have to install it again to find out, but I prefer BF2 anyway. I don't think I'd call it chaotic usually, save for when you're holding out your last flag against a loss, and being surrounded by the winners. It usually fits what I might call epic more than chaotic though. Since you mentioned BF1943, I assume you're on the consoles though. My friend that has the port of BF2 says it's kinda lame, and owning Bad Company, it just doesn't feel the same. I haven't played BF1943 to say.

Then he should stay away from Bad Company 2.
Both suck hard, a disgrace to the Battlefield name.
Disgrace? Really? I had TONS of fun playing bad company. The destruction was great(not perfect), it had absolutely amazing sound(Best sound designers in the biz), and the classes were well balanced. The only problems I had with the game was the fact that the amount of health and damage was weird and you couldn't aim down the sight with the SMGs. Both of these problems seem to have been fixed with BC 2.

Seriously, I don't know what your deal is.

Its not in the Battlefield series but you might like MAG. Its very large and the battles can get very epic at times(i.e. most of the time), and it still has 1 day left in the beta if you want to try it out.

I play BF2 once in a while, in fact I reinstalled it just 2 days ago. Large battles with 40-60 people is what the PC was made for. 9v9's on a console (and MW2 on PC) feels more like some crappy rebel group ambushing a bus of football players.

Is MAG on the 360?

PS3 Exclusive, and the poster is actually an idiot if he didn't see the words "on my xbox" in your post.

I love the battlefield series, get you and twenty of your friends and play on airmaps, you've got squads out taking points with aircover on call for where you need it. It's all super fun and amazing. The world is just perfect.

The dynamics of the game turn to things like concentration of force and mobility of your striking arm. I like the battlefield series because it's just alot better than a bunch of mindless snap shooting.

Battlefield 1943 is pretty damn good, especially for DLC. BC2 look good, but my brother's getting it.

Its a good game and well worth it for the price. it can get chaotic enough depending on the map but overall its less chaotic than mw2, jeeps and planes are fun though and worth it for the air combat imo.

Battlefield 2 (on PC is quite populated). Every week or so the community over at ShackNews has a playdate. I'd love to join in, but I neither have it, nor can I get my modem to work properly right now.

Battlefield 2 remains populated and they just released a patch making the two DLC packs free. I've been playing the game since launch day. It's still amazing.

Other than that, Battlefield 1942 is dated but solid, as is Battlefield: Vietnam. Now that I'm used to stat-tracking, though, I find it harder to stay interested. Battlefield 2142 is basically a mod of Battlefield 2 set in the future. It's ok, but just ok. Battlefield 2 remains king.

On the consoles, on the other hand, is the breeding ground of the terrible Battlefield games. These would be Modern Combat and Bad Company, both of which are abominations and should not be mentioned.

However, with the recent videos of Bad Company 2 looking promising, the series may be making a comeback. Do buy it on PC, though. It's much better.

That's your problem right there. You have the trial version, not the real game.
