Ok, have any of our fellow Escapists, in all their super-sleuthing abilities, been able to find out WTF is going on with the Battlfield series? Because as we know, at E3, EA basically said "Battlefield 3 work, BF2142 maps making, BC2 coming soon" and their took off to their EA Impenatrable Fortress of Solid-Gold-itude, nary to say a word again.

And thats really #$%^%ing annoying, as BF is one their most popular (and arguably best) franchises, and deserves a little more of the limelight....at least more than this "Dante's Inferno", or whatever the hell it is thing they've got going on.

Depends when they get the information from DICE really. EA are just the publishers.

at least they are not promising features they will cut, or release dates a year before they finish the game, or other crap like that.

I like them not saying anything. Perks the curiousity and makes for a pleasant surprise when things do come out. But maybe its just because I was never too huge a battlefield fan. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the series. It just means i can wait.

But they seriously could've done more than just show one screenshot, said "Battlfield 3, yeah." and then peace out.
