So about a month or at least quite a few weeks ago, I discovered a very intense star wars flash game called "Red5". http://www.boadle.com/red5/
I really like the game, but after a few weeks, I decided to check out some other work he's done. That's when I found this. http://boadle.com/wpblog/?cat=12

Yep, that's his contribution to battlefront 3. Unfortunately you'll never actually see how these play out because if you look for more than 3 seconds, you'll see that the project was canceled in 2009. Sad, I really wanted to play it.

There are Battlefront Fans here, but it is hard to get us worked up anymore. Lucasarts has been churning out shit lately, and they seem to have stopped developing internal games altogether. Every so often, some news about Battlefront 3 pops up, only for it to be shot down.

That is pretty cool that he had some experience with it. Unfortunately the game is cancelled, and it probably isn't coming back too bad eh?

But it's not really that surprising. The Force Unleashed 2 kind of opened my eyes to the fact that Lucasarts has been replaced by retarded fools.

I think it was the departure of Hayden Blackman that really set it off. Say what you will about the quality of his work, but you can't deny he had charisma, and was a really entertaining figurehead for the company.

The battlefront series had so much potential...it just needed some current gen love. A proper physics engine, upped graphics, better AI...it would have been a dream come true.
