It would probably be in space, and I'd possibly call it the Faith. Named after a friend of mine who I really like, and also it's a pretty cool name for a spaceship...

Well, US naming conventions would dictate that I'd have to name a battleship after a state...yeah...I think I'll go with the Destroyer naming scheme instead and call it the Audie Murphy. Why "Audie Murphy"? See the story behind his Distinguished Service Cross and his Medal of Honor. He was scary on the battlefield, and his actions embody the legacy I'd want a battleship to leave if we were actually deployed.

Dreadnought. Yeah, I know it often get's used for a class of battleship, be they water or space based, but still, it's a kickass name. I'll type it again (and say it out loud folks) Dreadnought. Sends a shiver down your spine, doesn't it?

OT: Depends. If it is part of a navy, then I would call it something that sounds protective and valiant. Like Paladin or Templar.

If not, something more threatening, like Retribution or Vanguard.
