Definitely the S.S. ESSESS

Also 10 points for someone who gets my reference.
Is it the Angry Beavers?

I know if I had a steamboat I would name it the S.S. SSSSS.
Umm.. Partial credit. I was thinking of the movie Hot Shots!

Normandy. Why would you not name it Normandy? I mean, is there really a choice? Normandy. You'd name it Normandy.
Why would I name a ship after a stretch of land in France? I'd not name it Normandy :p

I'd call my ship the "Just A Sensor Glitch, Cancel Battlestations".

Or possibly the "Incredibly Easy, Just Like Your Mother".

Either way, it has a small chance of assisting me in battle.

"Abandon Ship" because when enemy vessles approach and identify my ship, they will shout out "Abbandon Ship off the port bow" (or somthing similar) and everyone will leave, allowing me to ship the ship without anyone fighting back.

"I'm in a hospital, what could possibly go wrong?!"
...
"God I love a good funeral!"
Hot Shots good sir, an excellent movie.

My choice...
Either (HMS)Fearless or Dauntless.
I think Fearless is better. Nice ring to it.
I was orrigionally thinking of "Invincible", but then I was reminded of the last words of Lord Varran the Undefeatable...

I would go with the S.S. Chastity Belt, that way I could say it's defenses were 'impenetrable'.

By the way, when I saw the thread title I honestly believed it would be about the Liam Neeson movie based on the board game...I'm not kidding, look it up on YouTube.

Well actually I was trying to reference the game 'Battleship.' Guess I should have made it clearer.
And here I was thinking you were talking about this thing;

Ah well.

USS Imperator, standing by.
Ironic for a country so vehemently and hypocritically opposed to the idea of autocracy to name a ship with the Latin for 'Emperor'. Were you going for irony, or did you just think it was a cool word?

Also, I'm thinking something really silly, like Perkins.

Ooh, actually HMS Hennimore. Cookie for reference.
