Reading this article and, more importantly, watching that trailer made me realize two things:

1: How much I absolutely loved the new BSG series. Seriously, it's easily one of my favorite TV shows. I really must watch it again. Probably marathon the seasons over a few weekends with friends.

And....

2: That I suddenly have an exceedingly strong urge to go play some Freespace 2. I loved the hell out of that game and still say it's the best space combat sim ever made.

This is just me being petty and stating the obvious but its only cause the brand name. So I dont take that as too much of a big thing, cause the question is how many of those 5 million are BSG fans and how many will the site retain that either arent and saw a free browser game or got it recommended.

So yeah, i guess just take what you will from me being cynical, but Im not exactly coloured impressed by 25K.

I really never want to be reminded of GINO ever again. I couldn't stomach it past the fifth episode, with "parallel Earth development" being used to excuse props and dress that ended up being pretty darn specifically "parallel North American 20th/21st Century development". I kept hoping it would get better, and then seeing snippets now and again that made clear it was just getting worse.

Glocks, Brooks Brothers suits, power ties, US Army five-ton trucks, Boeing 737 starship interiors, '50s-themed retro diners on Caprica. The game will likely have NONE of that (unless, Lords of Kobol forbid, they put in cut-scenes), but every time I see those ships my brain will be reminding me that they flipped Starbuck's gender and made him a Mary Sue From Hell into the bargain.
