Ive never played a Devil May Cry game so i don't really know the creator's style. But my friends keep saying 'GET IT MAN'

so i watched some reviews. but all of them had something in common they talk about the sexualization in the game and thats a bit off putting to me.

Is the Sexualization in the game a good way to get people to buy it?

But i must ask does the Sexualization of the game get less and less as the game goes on?

Also is the PS3 version fixed?

Bayonetta is pretty different from DMC, or at least it is different from the first DMC (the original being the only one I've played) - it's a bit more technical and a bit more difficult.

The sexual stuff won't bother you if you don't bother it, but I guess it's hardly the game you'd sit down and play with your grandparents or whatever.

Oh, and I play the PS3 version with no technical problems: a great improvement on when I first bought it.

IMHO the over sexualization of that game is the only thing making it playable. Then again, I hate brainless button mashers

I hate that people are put off by the sexualisation in Bayonetta, it's such an amazing game & yet you're put off by having a sexualised main character? It's such bullshit.

Get the game, you won't regret it.
Things like that can ruin a game or movie, or even a book for someone. Imagine if you hated the very site of dogs, but loved betting on races. You probably wouldn't mind slipping off to bet on some horses, but would bother to head over to the dog track.

The sexualization in the game is pretty clearly supposed to be over-the-top and silly. There's some of it in every cutscene (though you can skip all of them if you like), but it probably won't bother you.

Personally, I thought it was hilarious. Fantastic game too.

If you're not entirely familiar with how the game plays, download a demo or borrow a copy from your friends for an afternoon. The sexualisation put me off too, but I was willing to give the demo a go. I didn't enjoy the gameplay, so really, in the end, the sexualisation didn't matter.

In short, play the game for a little while and see whether you like the gameplay, and go from there. After all, if you hate the gameplay, you don't need to wrestle with the sexualisation issue, do you?

Bizarrely enough, when compared to something like Grenadier or a Team Ninja game, there seems to almost be a level of sophistication to the cock teasing. It seems to almost be a parody of it all with the fact that a woman who fights in a catsuit made from magically manipulating her own hair that flies off half the time, wears glasses, eats lollipops, makes suggestive noises, and gives more crotch shots than the Great Fairy from Ocarina of Time and the whole thing with her special attacks being sexual torture just makes it all seem like it was planned out and central to the Bayonetta character as opposed to just someone adding random fanservice.
You can tell. Normally the fanservice archetypes that get exploited are short women with cute faces and ridiculously huge breasts. Bayonetta is a psychotic badass with only moderately sized breasts. If anything the only lame fanservice archetype is the black guy who sounds like he was rejected for the Old Spice commercials.
...ancestor of Jacob Taylor maybe...?

Yeah, how dare people be put off from a heavily stylised game by the style! It's such bull that a heavily emphasised portion of the game not appealing to you might put you off the game!

I bet people who don't like MMOs are turned off by WoW, too! What nonsense!

Bayonetta (what I got to play of it as my PS3 YLOD'thed with it) is a different beast then DMC. It's an over stylized game but it's quite different in tone and presentation. The play style is a bit different too, although it's really just a hyper version of DMC's.

I don't really remember language being a problem in DMC 1. I could be wrong, but yeah. Bayonetta is all about style and rough flair. If DMC could be said to be stylishly smooth, Bayonetta is stylishly rough. Everything is overdone and sometimes a reference to many other games.

However, that said, what I played of Bayonetta, I liked. It'll never take my heart away from DMC 1,3 and 4, (1 especially) but it's still a great game that plays similar enough to those games that you should enjoy it. It's more of the fast paced "on a vacation" character feel compared to DMC 1 where Dante actually felt like he was in danger, but it's got alot of awesome moments that you get to pull off, instead of just watching in a cutscene. All in all, if you like DMC, you'll like Bayonetta, as long as you don't mind things like the language and the fact the character is obviously made to be hot.

The sexualisation part can be ignored...but I can't possibly ignore the atrocious music. Thank the heavens for the music volume option.

You're speakers must be fucked cause the music is one of the many things that factor into the game's style and uniqueness. But I'm not gonna waste words for a lost cause, everyone has their own opinion I suppose.

Sorry mate but no. If you have a 360 then buy it for that. If not then buy it for a friend and play it at his/her house.

Honestly, I hated it. The character Bayonetta is one of the most blatantly pandering, insufferably cliched videogame heroines ever to splay her legs across a tv screen. Some may argue that this is exactly the point and you should just enjoy it for what it is, but just because that IS the point, doesent make it a very GOOD point.

She spouts endless crap that is obviously intended to be seductive and witty but it's just painful to listen to. The story is a bigger mess than Paris Hiltons STD result sheet, and whilst colourful, the action gameplay is nothing but a seizure waiting to happen.

After playing the tutorial about three times I honestly still had no idea of what kind of moves I was executing, whether or not they were effective, or even when I was doing them, given that when they all blend together its just basically a series of purple and white lense flares with Bayonetta flipping around like a high speed centrifuge in the middle of it all. Theres just too many lights going on at once to make any one thing stand out.

The enemies look stupid, the supporting characters are incredibly annoying, andI reccommend you only buy it if you can find it for $30 or less. It's not worth more than that.

But hey, maybe you'll get more out of it than I did.

Rented bayonetta last week. Couple of hours in it's one of the most blatantly pathetic video games I've ever played. I don't care about the sexualisation, it's just a typical japanese game. The gameplay, level design and writing are all awful and not remotely engaging. It honestly deserves a 4/10 but the industry doesn't care about writing or level design at all pretty much, all that matters is gameplay gimmicks so it gets ludicrously high scores. It's literally a worse game than Haze. But because the shooter genre is more perfected the standards are higher. Personally I'm bored of these depressing lazily designed murder simulators and trudging through generic levels designed by amateurs with no thought for what makes videogames seperate from movies and toys. Toys have gameplay, movies have writing. Video games have both of those, but also level design. The world you explore is the heart and soul of the game and the most under-rated feature of modern games.
