I pay £5 monthly for Blackberry services ontop of my standard plan £10 pm. Does a bbm message take out of my 500MB per month allowance Download/upload(size of data usage irrelevant).

I also have unlimited internet BROWSING (youtube and maps and such use data facebook and wiki dont)

Unless specified somewhere to the contrary, id say yes.

PS - blackberries are a waste of time compared to Android and iOS smartphones. Their enterprise features are matched by the other OS' for free (no BES or paid for services needed); there is a cross platform, free BBM style messaging service called live profile that millions are using already and their general OS is just outdated with limited app support (so much so that they turned to android app to boost the ecosystem). Bssiclly, ditch the berry and get with a proper OS.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, and even if that's the case I'm guessing when you use it at home you're connected to your own private network anyway. Besides, each message is only very, very few KB's anyway so mmh.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just see what your contract bill says. Personally, I use BBM all the time and...payed the price expected. So meh, don't sweat it.
