be honest: does your girlfriend accept you as a gamer?

My Fiance insisted on buying a console (a wii, but not terrible) and though she isn't a hardcore gamer, she frequently asks about all of my gaming misadventures. We share most of them, but there are those that she isn't into.
I'm not currently in a relationship, but when we were, my girlfriend and I played games together, specifically L4D2 and Red Dead Redemption.

Yes, she's even taking gaming as a legitimate excuse to not spend time together... though I did have to trade a day I had no plans for. She's not a gamer herself but she accepts what I do and will even watch me play something like Mass Effect 2 on occasion.

My girlfriend calls me pathetic when I tell her that a few games have made me tear up a bit, and when I rant about games as an art form, but I'm slowly turning her into a gamer. I lent her a few of my favorite old PS2 games and she loves them, and she plays DS, so, she accepts me, yes.
Yes. In fact, she's taken an interest in it because of me, and the ones she can't play she likes watching me play them.

My girlfriend (when we were still together) loved watching, especially the horror games like Silent Hill 2. These days the girls I've dated don't really care one way or the other. I think too many guys really overly buy into this 'girls think gamers are pathetic' or 'girls think guys that play video games are immature dorks'. Truth be told, many of them would love to do it with us, if more of us were willing to give them a chance rather than make up their minds for them.

My girlfriend doesn't seem to mind it too much. She plays sometimes, but mostly just Wii games. I considered getting her into WoW when I was still playing, but then I realized she only has a netbook, which would mean I'd have to share my PC with her and...well, it seemed like a terrible idea.
No, she doesn't mind. Mostly because I told her if she did mind I would unimagine her out of existence. I brought her into this world I can take her right back out!
Okay, seriously though, none of them ever "minded" in that they criticized me or tried to make me stop doing it, a few were actually gamers themselves, but one did have this holier-than-thou "hohoho, look at him playing with his childish toys" attitude that was really aggravating.

I'm not really a gamer per se, I play a lot of games, but I don't think I classify as a gamer any more.

There's a family I know, and it seems that video games are really the only thing that brings them together. The couple will be playing WoW with back to back laptops at the dining room table, headsets and all, while the son and daughter are sitting back with the console. It's pretty awesomely heart-warming to watch. ^.^
Edit: I've had previous girlfriends! I swear! I just wasn't as big of a gamer back then; and they really didn't seem like the type to care, one way or the other. Probably wouldn't get into it with me, but they wouldn't care.
I haven't been lucky with love to be honest, but the girls i have gone for have all been gamers themselves. Maybe not as much as me, but gamers nonetheless. And are usually very patient with me when i prattle off how awesome it is i got my chestplate of warding +1 or how much of a noob the guy i just no-scoped is.
I honestly don't think i could be with someone who isn't a gamer or at least tolerates gaming to some degree. It's too big a part of my life and i'm not going to surrender something that significant for the sake of someone else.
