I feel sorry for him. He released a relatively mediocre, but nowhere close to being bad, game that tried to simulator being a bear. the simulation part wanst a joke or anything, it took the name seriuosly. it also had plenty of fun RPG elements and was less buggy than most AAA releases. Sadly no matter how your game does there will be assholes, so no Farjay, your not doing it wrong, you just seem to not be able to stand the pressure.

Rule of thumb for indie devs: Don't EVER call your game "[X] Simulator" unless you know everybody is going to think you are a shallow, minimalist asset-flipping douchebag out to make a quick buck exploiting idiots on Kickstarter and Steam Early Access, and disguise your sincere lack of giving a shit as an ironic joke about everyone else doing the same thing.
Euro Truck Simulator (now also American Truck Simulator) is one of the best games i have played in recent years. Yandere simulator is great fun, though the dev is changing his name for exactly the reaction you display here. The Train/farming/bus/etc simulators that german studios put out are also decent and quite well done for what they are. Simply having simulator in its name is not a sign of it being shit.

Could legal action be taken against him for this? Not delivering on the stretch goals and keeping the money to me should be considered illegal.
The way it works in kickstarter is that he could have not delivered anything at all and nothing could be done about it. Also given the developement time, even assuming the ONLY thing he paid for is his own salary, he may not really have any money left to keep.
