this is clearly anti-beard propaganda financed by the shaving industry (big shaver) in another attempt to sow fear and division between us all by playing on prejudices, especially those harbouring deep-seeded pogonophobia, while they reap in all the profits. do not be fooled!
More likely paid for by women who do not want beard burn or bacteria from being intimate with their partners. I don't see a need to fund anti beard studies myself though, I just would never date someone with a beard instead. Coming from a people who do not even grow beards or body hair for that matter, I have always been inclined to be repulsed by them. So luckily my would be hairy Ragnar looking Viking man shaves everything as to not frighten me running away in terror at the site of his hairy barbarianness. :p

Next time perhaps they should cross-reference the amount of bacteria on a dog's TONGUE! xD
Because they are worried about the dog licking the MRI machine? They accidently found this by trying to make sure it was safe for humans and dogs to share an MRI. It appears to be safe for humans to share with dogs but bearded humans are a hazard to both other humans and dogs.

the poor fella... not only is he held prisoner, but you've had him shaven bare like a naked mole rat all this time!

anyway, maybe some of these beardy folk might just like to encourage biodiversity on a microcosmic scale. and are willing to sacrifice whatever attractiveness they had to do so; it's all a matter of perspective ;) are you telling me that the sight of a wild, majestic Brian Blessed:

Define Bearded?

As in Dwarven Style Beards?

Or even the most minimum of fuzz on one's face?
I don't think anyone considers "stubble" a beard. I think they are referring to full beards. LOL

As long as you can still reach the skin with soap and actually do so, I am sure it is fine.
Can the same be said about Bushy as fuck Pubic Hair? That I always found disgusting.

Especially when it goes up all the way to the beard.

I don't believe anyone should have any hair below their eyebrows. I just se a beard as pubes on the face and think both should be removed. LOL

That sounds absolutely terrifying. Are they a rug or a person? If they show that men have that much bacteria in their beards, I can't even imagine how much would be in all that hair... then I thought about the backside and my stomach turned a bit.

Latino and Arabic people have it worse because our beards are naturally puffy and afro-like that they look like pubes on the face.

So it looks like the dogs may be more at risk from disease from Humans than the other way around when using the same equipment.
Not necessarily. There aren't very many diseases that cross between humans and dogs. I'd expect fleas to big a bigger issue.

Though this study would have to be increased and replicated to be sure, it appears men are not doing a very good job at cleaning their beards or their skin under them. Why is that?
Dunno, I shampoo mine daily when I shower, at the same time I do the rest of my hair.

Your aesthetic preferences are your own. I'm glad my lady likes my beard. So does my cat, and my previous cat used to lie on my neck and bury his head under it when he was a kitten, which was adorable.

Technically, there are actually quite a lot. It's more that pets tend to be well cared for and thus disease free to pass much on to their owners. As I recall the most common is some gastrointestinal bug: quite unpleasant (vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain - similar to regular food poisoning) albeit very rarely fatal.

Here's a funny thing. My partner doesn't like beards. I don't usually don't have one.

My uncle's partner loves beards and hates when its shaved. He's up to the stage of detesting beards.

I can understand his plight as sometimes I do want to just let it grow but it interferes witj relations so much it's just worth listening in this case

My dog rolled in a very dead, very stiff (half-)rabbit today. I find it hard to believe anyone would rather rub their face in him than in my beard (obviously given the choice of the two with a gun to their head).

Yup. And over-sterilisation of bacteria is now thought to be causing many of the allergies that we suffer from today.
Then there was this research that showed your keyboard is a way filthier place than your toilet seat.

Have fun typing that response :^)

18 men... this article is clickbaity as hell.

Could be 18 guys fresh from 4 days in the woods, and the dogs could be from immediate post-grooming for a dog show.

I shampoo my beard daily as well as oil it. Including skin cleansing routine. How subjective does this study need to be?
